The Lake District is home to some of the best riding in the world. Famed for the Fred Whitton and some brutal climbs, over this weekend we take in both the classic and lesser known routes in this region.
We start out in Kendal on the southern part of the Lakes and make our way north via The Struggle on the way up to Keswick. After a social dinner we prepare for day two taking in the classics of the region: Honister, Whinlatter & Hardknott. Two amazing rides in a world class cycling region, come join us in mid June for this classic cycling weekend.
32 (two groups of 16)
All of our Best of British cycling weekends are social, we ride in two groups of max 16 with a local ride leader and mechanical support in our support vehicles. On the flat and rolling terrain we all stick together and then climb at our own pace, regrouping at the point the ride leader has agreed (often for a coffee at the top).
On arrival in Kendal you will be met by our team. We have two local ride leaders, one for each group who will ride at the front of the group. We also have a mechanic who will be in our support vehicle with spare wheels & equipment.
We set up feed stations every 40km with nutrition & hydration. We will give you a bag to put anything you want (extra kit, nutrition etc) which you can pick up from the feed stations.
Our base for the night is right in the middle of the market town of Keswick, in the north of the Lake District. There is a conservatory perfect for relaxing and watching life go by and a lovely restaurant where we eat in the evening.
Our Lake District Weekender starts in Kendal and includes two stunning rides. We ride in two groups on a no rider left behind policy. Each group has a ride leader and our support van is on hand to help with any mechanicals.
We stay in Keswick on the coast and have a social dinner all together and then a full breakfast the next morning before hitting our second epic ride!
