The five biggest weekends in cycling. Since 2017 it is now possible to ride all 5 sportives. Each are unique with their own challenge, from the distance of Milan San Remo to the steepest climb in cycling at Lombardia.
Four out of five of the monuments take place over the same weekend as the pro race so you get the full experience with fans by the side of the road and the course set up exactly as it is for the pros. The exception is Milan San Remo where you need the long hours of June to be able to complete the 302km course.
The monuments start in Belgium for the Tour of Flanders with steep, cobbled climbs. The following weekend is Paris Roubaix with rough cobbles that will make you ask whose idea was it to ride the Hell of the North. Two weeks later is Liege Bastogne Liege, a ride as hard as the Marmotte or Etape with some short and very steep climbs (but no cobbles!).
The last two monuments are in Italy with Milan San Remo in July and the beautiful Granfondo Lombardia in October - this is the easiest of the rides but with one nasty climb, the Muro di Sormano with 28% ramps.
The classic Tour of Lombardy, the Race of the Falling Leaves, finally has a sportive to go with it. A new route for 2019 starting and ending in Cantu, the Granfondo takes in the iconic Ghisallo, the 20% plus Muro di Sermano and several other famous climbs of the pro race. Lake Como is the perfect place to end your season.

Choose between four routes to suit all cyclists and then enjoy the great atmosphere at the pro race on Sunday.

The hardest sportive of the spring classics, the full route of Liege Bastogne Liege is a full 271km and a massive 4,400 metres of climbing - more than Stelvio Santini or the Etape du Tour! The following day is the final pro race of the spring classics making this a great weekend to explore a rarely visited part of Belgium.
