The most epic one day route in the Italian Alps and the only sportive taking in all of the BIG THREE. This sportive weekend includes a warm up ride on Thursday, the big ride on the Friday and options to ride the Stelvio again traffic free on Saturday or a relaxing day in the famous spa. The sportive sets off at 7.30am so you can ride the first two climbs in the morning, the first riders should be done by early afternoon and the last guys rolling to the Cima Coppi mid afternoon. The sportive comes with pro support with expert mechanics working on bikes before and on course. We have guide led speed groups if you want to ride with others and be paced, this can be really useful on the road to the Mortirolo and the long drag to the Gavia. There is coaching advice from Rowe & King and the team at OTE Sports are on hand to help with a personal nutrition plan for the ride and are manning the regular feed stops. The most famous climb in cycling awaits you at the end of the sportive. 22km, 7% and some unbelievable views await. After taking in the views and grabbing your jacket at the top, the day finishes with a thrilling 22km descent back to the hotel and a well deserved beer.
The first climb of the sportive is the Mortirolo from the classic Mazzo side. 12km in length and averaging a punishing 11%, this is one of the toughest climbs out there. After the Pantani monument the road opens out and the gradients get slightly easier allowing you to summit with a smile on your face!
A stunning short climb out of Bormio, we ride the Cancano on arrival day. This year it is a stage finish on the Giro and the grafitti will still be on the road for our ride.
The Big Three climbs of the Italian Alps, this sportive takes in the mighty Mortirolo, the wild Gavia and the iconic Stelvio in one big ride. Take on this classic route with pro support including expert mechanics, guide led speed groups, coaching from Rowe & King and nutrition support from the team at OTE Sports.
Arrival into Linate for our 11.30am transfer and we get to Bormio by 2,30pm. Our mechanics are on hand to help set up bikes before a short optional warm up ride leaving at 4pm. Race briefing is at the hotel at 7pm with dinner at 7.30pm for an early night.
Sportive Day! Breakfast from 5.30am with rollout at 7,30am. The first finishers should reach the top of the Stelvio early afternoon and then roll back to the hotel. We have a buffet for post ride and then a celebratory dinner at 7.30pm.
A couple of options today. The Stelvio is closed to traffic so a good chance to ride from Bormio and drop over the other side. Alternatively, the spa in Bormio is perfect for some R&R before heading home.
Departure day. Our mechanics are on hand to help with bike packing. We leave the hotel at 10.30am.
The Hotel Alu is family run and a great base in Bormio. Set back from the road so you get a quiet night sleep, the food is the main selling point here with delightful local dishes every night. Rooms are modern and clean, the deck is a perfect spot for a post ride beer and downstairs is a small spa.

Taking in the Big Three climbs of the Mortirolo, Gavia & Stelvio the route is just shy of 135km and 5000m of elevation. Our ride leaders can be invaluable on the run down to Mazzo and the drag up to the Gavia so you can save your energy for the three big climbs.

Transfers go from Milan Linate. On Thursday book flights to arrive by 10.45am for an 11.30am departure. We should arrive in Bormio for around 2.30pm.
On Sunday, book flights that depart after 4.30pm, we arrive back in Linate at 2pm.
