Wednesday 3rd July

Departure day for 3 night breaks. For 7 night trips, we have a rest in the morning before an afternoon ride to Cancano.

Thursday 4th July

We join our Stelvio Weekender group for 4 days of social riding. We start at 8.30am and start immediately the climb to the Stelvio from Bormio. From the summit we descend down the Umbrail Pass before a quick lunch stop in Prato. From there, it is just 48 hairpins to the other side of the Stelvio and then a fun descend home.

Friday 5th July

Another roll out at 8.30am, we descend down the valley to Grosio where you have the choice of which side to climb the mighty Mortirolo. The first side from Grosio is 14km at 8% or continue to Mazzo for the famous side, 12km at 11%. We meet at the top and then descend and ride to Ponte di Legno for lunch. From here, we climb the Gavia before descending back to Bormio.

Saturday 6th July

The last of our three huge climbing days. We start with a quick and fun 40km down the valley on quiet roads before turning into Switzerland. The Forcola pass is a 35km climb finishing back on the Italian border before we descend into Livigno for lunch. From there, we have two climbs and two descents home.

    Routes & FAQs

    The Routes

For the full Triplo Stevlio, we start from Bormio and then do the Prato side followed by Swiss side. You can choose between one or two ways up the Stelvio. If you only want to do these we recommend joining us on our regular Stelvio Weekender.

Starting at 3am from Bormio, the first ascent is 21.5km at 7.5% average. This ascent is in first light. After the hairpinned descent to Prato, we climb the iconic side with 48 turns. This side is 25km again at 7.5%. From here we descend into Switzerland for the final side - 15km but slightly steeper. A long day - expect 8 to 12 hours in the saddle.
