2024 Tour de France Cycling Packages

The 2024 Tour de France starts on the 29th of June kicking off 3 weeks of racing until Sunday the 21st of July. For the first time in history the race will depart from Florence, Italy and in a departure from tradition will finish in the gorgeous coastal city of Nice, France.  This is the first time since the first two editions in 1903 and 1904 that the finish will not be held in the French capital.

We offer you a front-row seat to the action as the peloton winds through the picturesque landscapes of France. The 2024 Tour de France cycling tours are designed to place you at the heart of the world’s most iconic cycling event whether you’re there to ride, spectate, or a bit of both. Here at Sportive Breaks our expert trip designers have taken a deep-dive into the 2024 route to create some incredible Tour de France Travel Packages for you.

2024 Tour de France Trip of a Lifetime

As soon as the route was released, we saw there was the perfect opportunity to design the true trip of a lifetime for avid cyclists. After the Italian Grand Depart, a stage start from Pinerolo will take the riders across the border via the Col Montgenevre. The finish is in Valloire, the ski resort that’s well-known from one of the oldest Alpine Gran Fondo events, the Marmotte.

This tour starts with you riding La Marmotte. We’ll then be in the perfect spot to cross over and watch Stage 4 and 5 of the Tour de France in the flesh before transferring to ride a stage of the race yourself at the Etape du Tour de France.

Get straight to it on our Grand Depart Tour!

The 2024 Grand Depart of the Tour de France will be in Italy with 3 stages in Tuscany, the Adriatic Coast and Turin. Our tour starts in Florence on Thursday 27th June, so you can start off by watching the team presentation. You will then be able to ride some of the routes whilst following the race. Hosted by Giro d’Italia Stage Winner Andrea Ferrigato, you will experience the race from the roadside, ride on some incredible Italian roads and enjoy the fantastic Italian cuisine.

Experience the final week, in the Alps

As the riders make their way from the Pyrenees and into the Southern French Alps to the final in Nice, our tour starts in Paris on the 9th of July.

You could also join us sooner in the Pyrenees where we will stay for 5 nights under the shadow of the mighty Col du Tourmalet. Here we will enjoy the action on 3 Pyrenean stages.

After the Pyrenees we move to Provence where we will take a couple of days away from the Tour de France to ride Mont Ventoux and Provence. Our tour continues with a two-night stay in the Southern Alps where we will see the stage finish in Barcelonette and ride to the Cime de La Bonette, one of Europe’s highest roads.

Our tour finishes with 3 nights near Nice to enjoy the final Cote d’Azur showdown.

The 2024 Etape du Tour is officially sold out. As a Diamond Tour Operator, we can guarantee your entry and offer you a supported experience to the event. We offer hotels, transport for your and your bike guided rides, mechanical support, private feed stops and more!

I thoroughly enjoyed my tour de France tour! Our guide Dave was excellent! Looked after the whole group, gave us great advice about what the rides were like and always helped us where he could. Thanks Dave and the rest of the crew.

Wonderful trip, challenging rides, excellent guides, mechanic and driver. All staff were exceptional. Dave’s herding of cats a real talent!

Alpe d'Huez to Mont Ventoux
Some things were done particularly well. 1. Several nights in the one locality was a good idea. 2. Good selection of rides. 3. Right mix of riding and tourist and leisure activity.
