The 2023 Tour de France route includes all major mountain ranges on mainland France. The Alps, Pyrenees, Jura, Vosges and Massif central all feature. The Tour has its Grand Depart in the Spanish Basque Country before moving into the French Pyrenees. After finishes in Bordeaux and on the Puy de Dome, the Tour heads into the Alps. From a mountain top finish on the Colombier on Bastille Day (July 14th) until July 20th, there are 5 mountain stages including a time trial on the schedule in the Alps. After 2 stages in Burgundy the Tour finishes in the Vosges before the traditional Paris final day.
