Itinerary

Day To Day

Arrival day. We meet you in Brussles Airport (BRU) and head out at TBC for a TBC arrival in Oudenaarde. Please contact us to discuss a private transfer if you wish to book a later flight. Our mechanics are on hand to build bikes. For those wanting a quick spin, we will have a short warm-up ride. Our welcome dinner is at 7.30pm and we will go through the agenda in more detail.

Airport Transfers: Airport collections are from Brussels Airport (BRU) and the drive to Oudenaarde takes around 1 hour 30 minutes. If you are arriving by Eurostar, there are regular connecting trains to the airport, and the journey takes 20 to 30 minutes.

After breakfast we will head to Ypres for our first day of riding. Our mechanic is on hand for any last minute bike work. Today we will cover some of the climbs made famous by Gent-Wevelgem, including both sides of the Kemmelberg. They are the only 2 cobbled climbs on the menu today, with a further 7 tarmac climbs on this 75km ride

Today’s route starts and finishes in front of our hotel. This is the longest ride of the weekend, as we head South-East to tackle the famous Muur van Geraardsbergen, also known as the Kappelmuur, or Mur de Grammont. As well as climbing the Bosberg and Molenberg, we’ll also take on some longer, flatter cobbled sections, including Kerkgate and Paddestraat.

Our third and final day will again start and finish outside our hotel. Although it’s a shorter day, the climbs today are bunched up in true Tour of Flanders tradition. The highlight of today, and possibly the whole weekend, is the trident of Oude Kwaremont, Paterberg and Koppenberg in short succession. After a quick change back at the hotel, we will walk across the road to the Tour of Flanders Centre to add our names to the wall of Flandriens and celebrate with a local beer.

After one last breakfast, we say our goodbyes. The transfer leaves Oudenaarde at TBC to get back to Brussels in time for flights departing after TBC. Head home with some amazing memories of riding one of the world’s great cycling regions.

More About the Event & Hotel

Flanders claims to be the home of cycling, and who are we to argue? We will spend 4 nights based in Oudenaarde, location of the Tour of Flanders finish line and home to the Centre Ronde van Vlaanderen Museum. Across three days of riding we will tackle the most iconic bergs and cobbled sections in Flanders, including the Kemmelberg, Muur Van Geraardsbergen, Paterberg, Koppenberg and Oude Kwaremont. While most of the climbs are less than 1km long, do not underestimate the difficulty of riding a 20% cobbled section in the saddle! By the end of each day you’ll have earned the right to sample one of the famous local beers. At the end of the Challenge, the Tour of Flanders Centre is just across the road from our hotel, where you can add your name to the wall of Flandriens.
