Join Sportive Breaks on this fantastic tour that puts you in the heart of the action close to the most important stages of the most important Grand Tour of the year. We start in Toulouse before heading into the Pyrenees to watch and ride climbs such as the Hautacam and Tourmalet. We then move to Provence to ride Mont Ventoux on the rest day before watching the stage the day after. In the Alps we stay near the two decisive mountain stages to Courchevel and La Plagne. Paris arrival and departure is available as an optional extra.
Sportive Breaks offers unforgettable cycling and spectator tours with hotels, transport and daily support all included. Our 12-night/ 13-day tour to ride and watch allows you to experience all the key stages of the final two weeks of the race.

While our itinerary enables you the opportunity to see multiple stages of the Tour, it also offers plenty of options for doing our own cycle touring in some of the best regions of France. Non-cyclists are also well catered for with opportunities to visit some iconic places in France.

Daily Rides
We offer a guided ride each day, with our bike guides on the road with you. We also have a support vehicle with driver who is equipped as a mechanic. We will either transport everyone to a location from where we will start the daily rides, or we will ride straight out from the hotel. We offer vehicle support for the riders, and spectators will be transported to the day’s tourist venue or to a vantage point to watch the race.
Transportation
On days where we move on to another hotel, we will transport luggage, bike boxes and bikes and we will offer an adapted itinerary depending on the day’s logistics.
Spectators
Riders and spectators may have a different itinerary daily but are reunited to enjoy the race watching experiences together. We attempt to keep hotel changes and transfers to a minimum.

Cyclists and Spectators
Our tour is suitable for both cyclists of any level and non-cycling spectators. The hotels we stay at are in excellent locations providing world-renowned French cuisine.
Our daily guided rides give cyclists the opportunity to ride some of the most beautiful climbs that feature on the race route. We stay in beautiful locations, as well as providing plenty of opportunity for spectators to enjoy time away from the cycling with scheduled visits to local towns and villages.

Day One - Bienvenue en France

Our hosts will collect you from Toulouse Blagnac Airport at 10:30am and transport you to your hotel in Toulouse. We will stay here for the next two nights with breakfast included.
On arrival our hosts will assist you with building your bike after travel. We offer a short guided ride in the local area to ensure all bikes are in good working order.
This evening our team will hold a welcome meeting at the hotel, followed by an evening free for you to eat out in Toulouse, where there are many superb restaurants nearby.

Day Two - Toulouse

This morning, we offer a guided ride in the Toulouse area. There is an excellent bike path along the Canal du Midi which we will explore today. This afternoon Toulouse welcomes the French Grand Tour with both a stage start and finish. We expect a sprint finish in Toulouse after a flat 150km stage.

After breakfast we will provide transport to the Pyrenees. We will stay at our next hotel for 3 nights.
We will check into the hotel before preparing for a guided ride which culminates with watching the riders as they attack the highlight of today’s stage which is the climb up to Hautacam.

Day Four - Pyrenees

After a leisurely breakfast we will propose a guided ride today to explore more local climbs in the stunning Pyrenees. We will ride the Tourmalet from its most iconic side – from Bagneres de Bigorre and back to our hotel.
An evening meal will take place at the hotel.

Day Five - Pyrenees

A Pyrenean Classic stage is on the route today! The start is in Pau and after tackling the Tourmalet, Col d’Aspin and Peyresourde the riders have a summit finish at Superbagneres above Bagneres de Luchon.
We will ride the Port de Bales from Bagneres de Bigorre to our destination of Bagneres de Luchon, where we will watch the next stage today.
Our evening meal will be at the hotel.

Day Six - Transfer to Provence

Today’s stage will see the riders move out of the Pyrenees with a stage from Muret to Carcassonne.
After breakfast we will travel to Provence. We will stay in the pretty town of Vaison La Romaine for the next few nights. On arrival we have time for a guided ride in the area.
In addition our, evening meal will be at the hotel.

After breakfast we will guide the cyclists on a great cycling experience together. All rides will be supported by our bike guides on the road plus we will also provide mechanical support and regular food and drink stops from our support vehicle.

Locally in Vaison La Romaine there is a lovely winery where we will enjoy a tour before having some lunch and enjoying some wine tasting!
This evening, we will enjoy the evening meal together at the hotel.

Big day today as the riders tackle the stage from Montpellier to Mont Ventoux!
On guided cycling days our team will support you on the road with vehicle support that includes regular stops for drinks and snacks.
Spectators can join us on the tour vehicle, and we will endeavour to get as close to the action as possible. We will drive to the foot of Mont Ventoux and walk to a good vantage point to watch the stage.
We will enjoy the evening meal together at the hotel.

Day Nine - Alps

We will check out of the hotel and make the journey to the next stop on our tour. No need to pack away your bikes as they will be transported fully assembled.
On the way to the Alps today we will stop in Bollene to see the start of today’s stage.
On arrival in Brides Les Bains, enjoy the hotel pool or have a walk around the town.
We will enjoy the evening meal together at the hotel In Brides Les Bains.

Today we will witness the first of two epic mountain stages that will decide who will arrive victoriously in Paris on the Champs Elysees on Sunday. The riders will ride up from the hotel to the Col de la Loze. Spectators can watch the stage as it comes past Brides Les Bains today.
Our hotel is well-located for stage access for both cyclists and spectators.

Day Eleven - Alps

Today there is the second of two epic mountain stages that will decide who will arrive victoriously in Paris on the Champs Elysees on Sunday.
After a long descent from the Cormet de Roselend the riders hit the valley before commencing the climb to La Plagne. Our guided rides lead us from the hotel up to the finish in La Plagne where we will await the arrival of the riders. Spectators will see the action in Aime La Plagne.
Our hotel is well-located for stage access for both cyclists and spectators.

Day Twelve - Alps

After the Grand Tour madness, we will stay an additional day to enjoy this part of the Alps. We offer a guided ride in the area plus the opportunity to relax for another day in this beautiful part of the world.
Our guided ride takes us further up the Tarentaise Valley to Bourg Saint Maurice and the Col du Petit Saint Bernard. The summit lies on the Franco-Italian border. We will drop into the Aoste valley and break for lunch before returning the way we came.
Our final evening meal will take place this evening in Brides Les Bains.

Day Thirteen - Alps

After breakfast it’s the end of your Grand Tour experience. Our tour finishes on Sunday 27 July with an optional airport transfer back to Geneva Airport.
Paris Extension – Available at additional cost
For those who would like the opportunity to experience the final stage of the 2025 French Grand Tour in Paris we offer a specialised extension. Please note that we will not have staff in Paris so you must make your own arrangements when there. You will catch the TGV from nearby Chambery early in the morning on Sunday, which takes just 3 hours to reach Paris. On arrival check into Hotel Mercure Bibliotheque close to the Gare de Lyon. After checking into the hotel there is plenty of time to get ready and make your own way over to the Champs Elysees.

More about our Tour
On this tour you will not only experience the decisive stages of the 2025 event but you will also get the opportunity to cycle in some of France’s most beautiful areas – Provence and the French Alps.
The most important Grand Tour of the year has its 112th edition in 2025. Taking place a week later than in 2024 the Grand Depart is in Lille on Saturday 5 July. The race has its traditional finish in Paris on the Champs Elysees again after its finish in Nice last year due to the Olympics.
After the 3 stages of the Grand Depart, the highlight of the first week is the Mûr de Bretagne. After a visit to the Mont Dore before the first rest day, mountain top finishes in the Pyrenees at Peyragudes and Hautacam feature before a visit to Mont Ventoux after the final rest day. A couple of big Alpine Mountain stages will fire up the final week!

Hotel Amelie is well-located in the centre of the spa town of Brides-les-Bains, an ideal location for relaxing after a busy day enjoying the outdoors. The hotel has a lovely warm outdoors pool, to swim in the fresh mountain air.
Bedrooms are clean and comfortable, with marble bathrooms and a separate WC.
In Les Cerisiers restaurant, guests can enjoy traditional Savoie meals or relax with a drink from the bar lounge. Meals are created using local produce at it’s seasonal best. In the lounge car guests can relax on a comfortable sofa or play a game of Billiards.

Set in a former 13th-century country house used by the Knights Templar, Hôtel La Bastide de Vaison is located 3.5 km from the medieval village of Vaison-la-Romaine. The property is 20 km from Dentelles de Montmirail and 30 km from Mont Ventoux. Guests can enjoy the swimming pool and its terrace with sun loungers. All rooms have a TV and free Wi-Fi. Each room includes a private bathroom with free toiletries. A buffet breakfast is served every morning in the vaulted dining room, which features original stone walls and modern décor. In fine weather, guests can also enjoy breakfast on the shaded terrace. The area is popular for cycling and hiking. Bike storage is available on site. Electric vehicle charging stations are available. Avignon TGV Train Station is 57 km away and Orange Train Station is 25 km away. Andrea Ferrigato
About Andrea
Andrea Ferrigato is affectionately known by his former teammates and friends as “Ferri” for his legs of “Steel”. Ferri has had a professional career spanning 15 years. He competed 8 times at the Giro d’Italia and 4 times at the Tour de France. He was a stage winner of the Giro d’Italia (1994) and his best year was 1996. In that year he won the Leeds International Classic and the Grand Prix of Switzerland.
Andrea is an extremely experienced host and he has worked with Sportive Breaks since 2022. In the last few years Andrea has hosted many cycling tours and Gran Fondo weekends for Sportive Breaks. He received truly excellent customer feedback.
You can ride with Andrea on all of Sportive Breaks Italian cycling events. Andrea is also present at Mallorca 312.
