The Gran Fondo Milan-Sanremo cicloturista covers the 300km that separate Milan from Sanremo, retracing the same roads as the Spring Classicissima.
There are a couple of slight differences at the start and the finish.
The starting point has been changed from the Castello Sforzesco in Milan to the south of the city, in Pieve Emanuele in order to avoid the traffic of the Lombardy capital, and the arrival is in Lungomare Salvo d’Acquisto in Sanremo rather than on the Corsa Roma.
The rest of the route is absolutely faithful to that followed by the professionals.
The Granfondo Milan-Sanremo cicloturista follows the same routes of the Classicissima of the centennial, with the legendary climbs of Turchino, Cipressa, and Poggio that have given this event its mythical status.
