Grand Depart Lille

Experience the world’s largest annual sporting event in France with Sportive Breaks

The 112th edition of the world’s largest annual cycling event will be held in 2025. The race for Yellow will start in Lille on 5 July and return to its traditional finish in Paris three weeks later.

The route can be seen as one of two halves. Flat and lumpy stages dominate for the first 10 days as the race traverses Northern France, before a long transfer takes the peloton to the Pyrenees and Alps for some huge and relentless mountain stages. Then, the race returns to the traditional finish spectacle on the Champs-Élysées in Paris. The race will feature five high summit finishes: Hautacam, Superbagnères, Mont Ventoux, Col de la Loze, and La Plagne.

We offer unforgettable cycling and spectator tours with hotels, transport, and daily support all included.

Tour options for 2025 include:

  • Grand Depart – Enjoy the start celebrations and witness the first four stages in Northern France – available to Pre-book.
  • Our 12 Night Tour – Ride the climbs and watch the race in the Pyrenees, Provence and the Alps.
  • Mont Ventoux and Alps tour – Spend a week riding the climbs and watching the race reach its conclusion in the Alps.

I thoroughly enjoyed my tour de France tour! Our guide Dave was excellent! Looked after the whole group, gave us great advice about what the rides were like and always helped us where he could. Thanks Dave and the rest of the crew.

Alpe d'Huez to Mont Ventoux
Some things were done particularly well. 1. Several nights in the one locality was a good idea. 2. Good selection of rides. 3. Right mix of riding and tourist and leisure activity.
