Trip Suitability
Working with CMA the Adelaide-based team at Sportive Breaks have crafted a Tour Down Under package to showcase the incredible cycling South Australia has to offer, in this world class destination known for it’s food and wine.
The average daily ride distance is around 60km with the largest day being 75km with approximately 900m of climbing.
Keep in mind our support vehicle joins us on every one of our guided rides ensuring you have support on hand for mechanicals, nutrition and anything else you may need to enjoy the experience.

Price per person: $1,950 AUD based on twin share. (two people in room)
A Single Supplement of $590 AUD ($2,540 total pp) is available so solo travellers can join us too! Additional Nights to extend your stay in Adelaide are also available.

Todays Stage: Men’s Stage 3: Tea Tree Gully – Campbelltown
Highlights:
- Tonight we host a group dinner, included in your package to welcome you to Adelaide and the weekend ahead. You’ll have the opportunity to meet & greet your fellow riders before getting stuck into racing atmosphere on the bike.
Today’s Ride – Optional afternoon spin to test the bike & flush out the legs.

Today you’ll arrive in Adelaide and make your way to the Pullman Hotel in the CBD. The earlier you arrive the better as we will have a mechanic available to assist with the assembly of your bike and any fine-tuning you may require. Our friendly hosts will offer a guided afternoon spin.

Todays Stage: Hahn Men’s Stage 4: Murray Bridge – Port Elliot
Highlights :
- Get familiar with the Adelaide hills and enjoy a group lunch at one of Adelaide’s fined wineries.
Today’s Ride – ~75km through the Adelaide Hills.
Meals Included: Breakfast & Group Lunch
Your riding experience starts today! We’ll be straight onto the bikes after breakfast to enjoy a scenic ride through the Adeliade Hills. Taking in some of the best roads known by the locals you’ll have the opportunity to chat with the group on two wheels and fire up the legs for the weekend ahead.
We’ll pull-up for lunch at one of our favourite spots for you to enjoy a group lunch. The stage will be underway on the other side of town and a TV for viewing will be set up to watch while you enjoy some food & drink.After lunch and the stage finishes we’ll roll back into Adelaide with plenty of time for you to take the evening to enjoy some more of the city of Adelaide while it’s engulfed in the atmosphere of the race!

Today’s Stage: THINK! Road Safety Men’s Stage 5: Christies Beach – Willunga Hill
Highlights :
- Prime viewing of today’s stage on the iconic Willunga Hill.
Today’s Ride – 65km | ~900m Climbing
Meals Included: Breakfast & Picnic Lunch.
If you’re up in the morning with the legs to ride today is an absolute treat. Finish up breakfast before departing on the pilgrimage out to Willunga Hill. Venturing across town and winding through the hills we’ll pass McLaren Vale before arriving at Willunga. Time permitting, you’ll have the chance to climb up the famous hill yourself before taking up a prime position in our marquee to witness a stage finale known best for thrilling KOM battles!
After the stage we’ll load up into our support vehicle and bring you back to the hotel to enjoy an evening in the city.
Note: For those looking for extra kms and keen to complete the round-trip there is the option to extend for a 65km return trip to take in the incredible South Australian Coastline on one of our favourite local routes.

Todays Stage: Men’s Stage 6: Unley – Mount Lofty
Highlights :
- Prime viewing of today’s stage on Mount Lofty to see the Ochre Jersey won.
- Farewell Group Dinner
Today’s Ride – ~55km | 700m Climbing
Meals Included: Breakfast, Picnic Lunch
The final day of racing! We’ll depart the hotel after breakfast and head straight out to get amongst the action. We will experience the same climb up Lofty the pros are about to take on 4 times! At the top of the climb, it’ll be time to take up our prime viewing position at our marquee on the roadside. Enjoy refreshments and watch the final contest for the Ochre jersey.
