2026 Flemish Cycling Week Tour with Sportive Breaks

March and April is when is when the cycling world properly awakens from its winter slumber. There are all sorts of races taking place almost daily across Northern France, Belgium and the Netherlands over this crucial period in the racing calendar. 

The Flemish Cycling Week (Vlaamse Wielerweek in Dutch) or simply Flemish Week, is a series of road cycling races held in Flanders in late March and early April culminating with the Tour of Flanders weekend. Our Flemish Cycling Week Tour starts with E3 Saxo Bank Classic on Friday followed by the Gent Wevelgem Sportive on Saturday and Gent–Wevelgem on Sunday. Dwars door Vlaanderen takes place on Wednesday before the Tour of Flanders weekend with We Ride Flanders (Tour of Flanders Sportive) on Saturday and finally Tour of Flanders on Sunday.

With Sportive Breaks enjoy a fully supported tour in the heartland of cycling and be there for all the action. You will experience 2 Spring Classics and 1 Monument plus you will cycle the Gent Wevelgem Sportive and the Tour of Flanders Sportive.

There will be plenty of other cycling and cycling activities included with our tour. On Gent-Wevelgem you will a guest of Team Visma | Lease a Bike for the day. You will also visit the cobbles and the famous Velodrome and showers of Paris-Roubaix, you will visit the Tour of Flanders Museum, and you will visit the High-Performance Centre of Team Visma | Lease a Bike in the Netherlands.

Please make your own arrangements to arrive at our hotel in Kortrijk today. Our team will be available to meet you at the hotel.

Airport transfers

If you plan to fly then we offer airport transfers for you, your luggage, and your bike from Brussels International Airport.

Hotel Messeyne in Oudenaarde

We are staying at the Hotel Messeyne in Kortrijk. Your stay will be for 7 nights and will be on a half board basis so with breakfast and evening meal included. 

What about my bike?

You can bring your own bike as we have planned to transport bike boxes on our airport transfers. Alternatively, you can rent a bike with us for the duration of the tour. Our mechanic will be available this afternoon at the hotel to assist you with fitting your rental bike or building your own bike after travel. Bikes can be safely stored at the hotel.

This afternoon and early evening, our tour leaders and bike mechanics are available for you. The evening is free for you to eat out in one of Oudenaarde’s many restaurants.

Day Two - E3 Saxo Classic - guided Ride and Race Viewing

After breakfast join us on our warm-up ride. We head out this morning for a 50km ride including some cobbled climbs. It is important to get your first taste of the cobbles ahead of the Sportive tomorrow.

This afternoon we will watch live racing as the E3 Saxo Classic takes place. In 2025 Mathieu van der Poel was the winner in Harelbeke.

This evening is free for you to relax ahead of the Gent-Wevelgem Sportive tomorrow.

Day Three - 2026 Gent-Wevelgem Sportive

We have an early start this morning. Early breakfast is arranged in the hotel restaurant. 

Gent-Wevelgem Sportive distances available are 65, 80, 105, 125, 145 and 220 km and all distances start and finish in Wevelgem at just 8km from our hotel in Kortrijk.

You can ride over to the start and back from the finish or our team are available to provide transport.

This evening we will meet for drinks in the hotel bar and enjoy the evening meal together.

Day Four - 2026 Gent-Wevelgem In Flanders Fields

The men’s, and women’s editions of Gent-Wevelgem will welcome the biggest stars of the pelotons. Gent-Wevelgem in Flanders Fields starts from the Menin Gate in Ypres which is an impressive memorial to the victims of World War I. The finish comes 250 kilometres later in Wevelgem. De Moeren is a flat marshland where the wind can play a role. After this the riders head for a succession of climbs including the Monteberg, the Baneberg, the Scherpenberg and the Kemmelberg. The final section is a flat to the finish in Wevelgem.

You will spend the day as a guest of the team in an official TVL minibus equipped with route map and interior TV screens so we can watch the race live during the day.

On our way to the stage start we will visit the hotel where the team are staying. Here one of the team directors will give you the inside track on the team’s race tactics for the day. After this we make our way to Ypres where we will visit the team bus and meet the riders as they prepare for the day ahead. There may even be time for a stroopwafel and a coffee.

We will then visit the Start Village and the team paddock before setting off for the day. You will spend the day with us in an official black and yellow TVL minibus equipped with food, drinks and interior TV screens so we can watch the stage live during the day. You will drive on the course of the stage on closed roads and be a proper part of the support team. You will experience the race at various locations. We will also stop for a lunch break.

We head to the finish area to catch the finale of the race. Hopefully we can join in with the team celebrations. After the race comes to a close we return to the hotel.

Day Five - Paris-Roubaix Day

After breakfast, it is your turn to enjoy the cobbles of the Hell of the North, the famous Monument. We will transfer you from Kortrijk into France to a suitable location to start our guided ride. 

We will choose our starting point to include the final 50 kilometres of the famous Spring Classic. You will ride the most famous stretches such as the Carrefour de L’Arbre. After visiting the famous Roubaix Velodrome including the showers, the team will transfer you back to the hotel in Kortrijk for our dinner.

Day Six - Visit of the Team Visma | Lease a Bike High Performance Center in Den Bosch, Netherlands

This morning we will transport you to Den Bosch where we will have a guided visit of the headquarters of Team Visma | Lease a Bike.

Team Visma | Lease a Bike operates from its own High Performance Center, located in Den Bosch, the Netherlands. The High Performance Center is the headquarters of Team Visma | Lease a Bike, an inspiring environment where the entire organization comes together. The building houses the logistics center and is the base for all races that are held throughout the year. We will stop for lunch on the way back (included today) and on arrival back in Kortrijk we offer a guided ride of 2-3 hours for those who are keen to ride today.

Day Seven - Dwars door Vlaanderen

Dwars door Vlaanderen (straight through Flanders) takes place mid-week before the Tour of Flanders. The race begins in Roeselare and has its finish 185km later in Waregem. Both are within just half an hour from Kortrijk. The route goes into the Flemish Ardennes and includes 7 cobbled roads and as much as 10 climbs. The race has its 80th edition in 2026.

After watching the start we will provide a guided ride to watch the riders tackle the steep climbs. We will return in time to Waregem to watch the finish.

Day Eight - Move to Oudenaarde

After checking out we will transport your luggage to Oudenaarde whilst you ride. We will hit some climbs made famous by the Tour of Flanders on the way.

Oudenaarde is a provincial town with a global reputation. Located on the Scheldt’s left bank, it rejoices in an impressive history. Highlights include Oudenaarde’s late-Gothic town hall with its Cloth Hall and famous tapestries, its Beguinage and MOU municipal museum. This gem of the Flemish Ardennes is also a cycling Mecca. For a century now, its undulating roads, cobblestones and hills have played crucial roles in Flanders’ spring classics. The Tour of Flanders Centre covers this extensive history from start to finish.

Later this afternoon or early evening we will visit the peloton Cafe located in the Tour of Flanders museum. This evening is free for you to eat out.

The We Ride Flanders event expo and registration is open in Oudenaarde today. You can walk over and have a look around and collect your entry pack for tomorrow.

This afternoon you will have the chance to explore the area around Oudenaarde.

At 14.00 we lead a guided ride over the cobbles so you can test, bike and share tips with our guide and the rest of the group.

This evening is free to eat out in Oudenaarde.

Day Ten - 2025 Paris Roubaix Challenge

On the same day as the riders of the women’s peloton, you will ride your own Paris Roubaix today. You will be able to see how the riders of the Men’s cycling elite handle the cobbled sectors of Roubaix tomorrow. Amateurs from around the world will have the opportunity to measure themselves against the legend of the Hell of the North with its mythical cobbled sections like the “Carrefour de l’Arbre” and the “Trouée d’Arenberg”. All distances start and finish at the Roubaix velodrome apart from the long distance route. Transport to long distance included. All distances finish in Roubaix at the velodrome.

Day Eleven - 2026 Tour of Flanders

Today is Paris Roubaix day. Today’s finish is in the Roubaix velodrome not far from the hotel. We offer either a guided ride this morning to watch some live action on the cobbles or you can stay in Roubaix and take your place inside the velodrome. We have access tickets to the inside area where you will have the best view of the finish.

We will assist you with re-packing your bikes for travel tomorrow.

The Spring Classics Tour with Sportive Breaks allows you to ride the amateur version of the Tour of Flanders and the Paris Roubaix Challenge before watching the events in person the day after. You will also see the lesser-known Scheldeprijs mid-week. As well as the cycling our team of Belgian locals will also guide you on a visit to a Belgian beer brewery and a visit to the Tour of Flanders museum.

The date of the Tour of Flanders is 5 April 2026. Known for its relentless cobbled climbs, Flanders remains one of the toughest and most iconic one-day races. Taking place between Antwerp or Brugge and Oudenaarde, the steep inclines of the Muur-Kapelmuur, Oude Kwaremont and the Koppenberg are key battlegrounds. On our tour you will stay in Oudenaarde.

The date of Paris-Roubaix is 12 April 2026. The ‘Hell of the North’ is a brutal test of endurance, where riders have to conquer the infamous cobbled sectors and battle through often muddy and wet conditions. The race starts in Compiegne and finishes at the famous velodrome in Roubaix. The race is a true spectacle, especially on the cobbled sections like Carrefour de l’Arbre and Trouee d’Arenberg. On our tour you will stay in Roubaix.

The Spring Classics are a thrilling series of one-day races taking place in Belgium and northern France. The Spring Classics are traditionally the prestigious races in northern Europe, often characterised by tough cobbled sections and relentless effort.
