Itinerary

Day To Day

We will pick you, and your gravel bike if you are bringing your own, from Oslo airport at 1pm followed by welcome drinks and bike fitting at Fara cycling centre.

A 40 km warm up ride through Nordmarka – the famous wilderness outskirts of Oslo – will start off your journey and take us to our first overnight stop just north of Oslo. This day is guaranteed immediate immersion into the stunning Norwegian nature.

Tonight’s hotel is the 3* Solstad Gjestegård located in Gol town centre, a traditional hotel offering home-made Norwegian food and accommodations. All rooms have free Wi-Fi and TVs, and guests can enjoy relaxing on the outdoor terrace.

We will begin by cycling through the charming town of Torpo before heading into the stunning mountains of Hemsedal. As we make our way through the mountains, you will be treated to breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. A 90 km ride through hamlets with cottages typical of the area, wild mountains a-plenty, and following the slopes of the Milky road. Sumptuous forests will take us to Gomobu where we’ll spend the night in a 3* hotel.

Tonight you will stay in the 3* Hotel Gomobu, nestled in the mountainous Valdres region. This hotel offers free Wi-Fi, with traditional Norwegian meals served in the restaurant and a bookable sauna.

Yoga stretching to start the day well followed by a 75 km day of gravel riding with the main climb of the trip to the Slettefjell viewpoint, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Along the way, we might spot herds of sheep and other wildlife grazing the surrounding hills. You’ll feel the immensity of the Nordic landscape as the road winds from lake and mountain, before reaching the our home for the night: Grønolen Fjellgard.

The Grønolen Fjellgard 3* Hotel overlooks Lake Øyangen on the edge of the Jotunheimen National Park. This is a rustic and traditional hotel offering classic Norwegian accommodation and meals, with TVs in rooms and Wi-Fi in public areas. There is a large garden to explore and a spa including an indoor swimming pool, sauna and hot tub.

You’ll follow the fjords inland to find lakes nestled in the Norwegian mountains over the 75km that today has in store. The ride begins with a climb of a few kms, but as we make our way towards the Jotunheimen National Park, the ride flattens out to roll through the countryside. One of the notable landmarks on this route is the Valdresflye mountain plateau, which is one of highest plateau roads in Northern Europe. We’ll ride east along Jotunheimvegen to reach Dalseter, where a traditional hot meal awaits us for a fun last night together!

Tonight we will stay in the 3* Dalseter Hotel surrounded by nature in a hotel which boasts an indoor swimming pool and a varied menu of traditional Norwegian cuisine. Rooms have beautiful views across the valley and mountains and provide a TV and free Wi-Fi.

Enjoy this last day of riding, 60 km past Fefor and Gålå to Fåvang, along the scenic Peer Gynt road, named after the impulsive, charming and arrogant title character of Henrik Ibsen’s play. A final lunch all together before returning to Oslo to enjoy the nature around you but also a philosophy of life where nature, sports, and well-being have a privileged place.

We will provide a return transfer to Oslo airport, dropping off at 5pm.
