Hotels
Hotel Executive is in the Scacciapensieri residential district of Siena, a 10 minute walk from the train station. All air-conditioned rooms feature an LCD TV with satellite channels. Next to a large green park, this hotel has a quiet location and offers free parking and excellent bus services into Siena’s historic centre, one mile away. Your stay here is on a half board basis so with breakfasts and evening meals included. You can keep your bike inside your room.
Hotel Executive is located at a 5-minute walk from the other hotel that we feature for our Sportive Breaks Strade Bianche Weekend; Four Points Sheraton Siena.
Rooms at the Executive Hotel have a modern and elegant design. They feature a private bathroom, a minibar and some even have a small balcony.
A buffet breakfast is served each morning, and the coffee shop is open throughout the day. Also included with your stay is a 3-course evening meal. The restaurant offers traditional Tuscan cuisine with a choice of meat or fish.
Hotel Four Points Sheraton is a modern 4-star hotel located in the residential area of Scacciapensieri, close to the University Educational Complex. The hotel is close to the train station and there’s a public bus stop next to the hotel. This is an excellent location for your Strade Bianche weekend with Sportive Breaks.
Only minutes from Sienna’s walls and historic city centre, the Four Points Sheraton hotel features contemporary accommodations and modern venues. The hotel offers complimentary On-Site Parking. Hotel Four Points is a 5-minute walk from the other hotel that we feature; hotel Executive Siena.
The check-in time at Four Points by Sheraton Siena is 3:00 pm and the check-out time is 12:00 pm. The hotel has a bike storage room for the safe storage of your bike and bike box or bag.
The amenities at Four Points by Sheraton Siena include: Bar and Restaurant, free Wifi, free full American breakfast and your stay also includes 3-course evening meal with water and wine included.
The start of the Gran Fondo Strade Bianche is from the Fortezza Medicea (Medici Fortress) which is just 600 metres from the hotel NH Siena. The finish of the Gran Fondo is in the splendid setting of the Piazza del Campo which is 650 metres away from the hotel. The start and finish of the professional races are in the same locations as the Gran Fondo so the NH is truly an excellent location for your Starde Bianche weekend.
The NH Siena boasts 129 rooms decorated with dark wood and tasteful colours. Higher floors come with a great view overlooking the old town or San Domenico church. The breakfast buffet is filled with fresh and nutritious food to set you up for the day. In the evening you can enjoy Tuscan specialities in the hotel restaurant. The NH Siena also has a gym and a bar and is a bike friendly hotel.

Enrico Pengo
About Enrico
Enrico Pengo was born in Vicenza in May 1972. He was a mechanic in the professional teams of Zg Mobili (93-94-95), Gewiss (96), Batik (97), Ballan (98-99) and Lampre (from 2000 to 2016); Bahrain-Merida, 2017 to 2020.
He has been the mech on 20 Tour de France, 25 Giro D’Italia and 10 World Championships with national teams. You’re in very safe hands.
He is considered a legend in Italy. His nickname is “the Mitico” which we think means he is mythical.
Tommaso dalla Valle
About Tommy
Tommaso “Tommy” is a former Italian cyclist who participated in the youth Olympics for Italy. Following his time racing he decided to dedicate himself to working as a mechanic to stay involved in the world of cycling. In just a short time he progressed through the ranks and became a mechanic for the Italian national MTB team as well as for some under 23 teams. He credits his success to his teacher and mentor, Enrico Pengo aka “The Legend”.
Andrea Ferrigato
About Andrea
Andrea Ferrigato is affectionately known by his former teammates and friends as “Ferri” for his legs of “Steel”. Ferri has had a professional career spanning 15 years. He competed 8 times at the Giro d’Italia and 4 times at the Tour de France. He was a stage winner of the Giro d’Italia (1994) and his best year was 1996. In that year he won the Leeds International Classic and the Grand Prix of Switzerland.
Andrea is an extremely experienced host and he has worked with Sportive Breaks since 2022. In the last few years Andrea has hosted many cycling tours and Gran Fondo weekends for Sportive Breaks. He received truly excellent customer feedback.
You can ride with Andrea on all of Sportive Breaks Italian cycling events. Andrea is also present at Mallorca 312.
