Sportive Breaks are very pleased to offer a new selection of self-guided road cycling holidays in Spain, with more locations to come soon. These independent cycling trips are ideal if you want to continue riding a bike whilst on holiday or to keep training for an upcoming event but you’re not able to join a group training camp or you just want to go to somewhere that has better weather. These trips are ideal for getting away and cycling with like-minded friends, club or team members or even your family and will ensure that you remain active with a choice of routes for each day of cycling.
We have started our self-guided road cycling offering with single centre stays in Mallorca, the ever-popular Balearic Island and cyclist’s haven; with Calpe on Spain’s Costa Brava; Girona, the cycling gem of Catalunya and Tenerife, taking in routes around the infamous Mount Teide, coming soon.

Sportive Breaks Self-Guided Road Cycling
- how it works -
As these trips are self-guided we’ll provide you with a selection of routes to follow on a GPS navigation app which can easily be followed with audio directions via your smart phone or downloaded onto your GPS device. You can choose from shorter, leisurely rides to longer, more challenging rides on each day to suit your fitness levels and training needs.
You’ll stay in comfortable accommodation as a single centre so you only need to unpack your suitcase once. The following can be added on to your self-guided road cycling trip:
- private airport transfers – these can include bike transport
- quality road bike rental
- upgrade to an electric bike
Choice of routes
Each self-guided road cycling trip has a choice of routes each day. Choose to start your trip with a shorter ride and work up to longer, more challenging routes.
Private transfers
All our self-guided road cycling holidays have the option to add private transfers to and from your hotel. If you're bringing your own bike, please let us know so we can include this in your quote.

There are high-quality road bike and e-bike hire options with a choice of frame sizes and specifications.
