Tenerife has the perfect temperate climate year-round for cycling, as well as lovely smooth roads and plenty of climbing options. These are just a few of the reasons the pro teams spend time here training. With Sportive Breaks you can now enjoy the same routes, great restaurants and cafes as well as the cycling culture in Tenerife, all under your own steam with a self-guided road cycling holiday. This type of trip provides the freedom to explore without having to get up early to join a group ride with people of different abilities. It allows you to head out at whatever time you like on a ride that suits you for distance, pace, elevation gain and to take in the parts of the island you want to visit on any particular day.

We’ll provide you with a GPS navigation app with a selection of routes to ride during your stay; whether it’s more leisurely cycling, punchier shorter routes with climbing or something more challenging altogether by heading up towards the volcanic top of Mount Teide. You may even spot some pros out and about while you’re cycling!

You choose how many nights you stay – we have a selection of hotels and durations from 4 to 7 nights, but if you want to stay for a longer or shorter period of time just let us know and we’ll tailor the trip to your requirements. Half Board, private transfers and bike rental (or e-bikes) can also be included in your tailored package.

Day To Day

Arrival Day

On arrival at Tenerife South Airport, your private transfer (if you’ve included this in your booking) will be waiting for you to drive you to your hotel in Los Christianos – approximately 15-20 minutes away. If you’re planning to bring your own bike, this will need to be added to your transfer request and will be transported with you (unless there are 5 or more in your group – as a result the bike transport will be a separate vehicle).

Riding Days:

Depending on your arrival and departure times, you may be able to add in some extra cycling time on your arrival and departure days – please ensure you have included enough bike rental time for this if you’re renting a bike to be picked up in Tenerife.

It’s entirely up to you how you plan your cycling schedule during your stay. There are plenty of routes that set off from a central point in Los Christianos, so you can choose your route for each day and also when you wish to rest and relax. Below are a few examples of route options:

The 4-star Paradise Park Fun Lifestyle Hotel is located in the heart of Los Christianos, Tenerife, just 10 minutes by car from the island’s southern airport. Perfectly situated with access to a huge choice of cycling routes and with excellent facilities for families and couples including five swimming pools, 4 jacuzzis, a gym and spa area, an adults-only rooftop sun terrace and pool area, two restaurants, 2 bars, 2 snack bars, a teens club and an entertainment area. There is a local minibus transfer service to Los Christianos. The recently renovated rooms come with twin beds (pushed together), ensuite bathroom with shower, balcony (with mountain or city view), air conditioning, minibar/fridge, satellite TV and free Wi-Fi. In-room safe and laundry service is available (payable locally). Pool towels available (€10 deposit). Bikes can be stored in your bedroom.
