Airport Transfers

If you plan to fly then we offer airport transfers for you, your luggage, and your bike from Brussels International airport today. These are available at a supplement of £90 for a return transfer and can be added in the booking process 

Our hotel

We are staying at the hotel Square in Kortrijk. Your stay will be for 1, 2, 3 or 4 nights and will be on a B&B basis so with breakfasts included. 

What about my bike?

You can bring your own bike as we have planned to transport bike boxes on our airport transfers. Alternatively, you can rent a bike with us for the weekend. We offer Scott Addict 20 equipped with Shimano 105 Di2 12-speed (3 or 4 day rental).

Our mechanic will be available this afternoon at the hotel to assist you with fitting your rental bike or building your own bike after travel. Bikes can be safely stored at the hotel.

Welcome to Belgium

This afternoon and early evening, our tour leaders and bike mechanics are available for you. Our host will provide a welcome meeting to welcome you to Kortrijk and talk about the weekend ahead. There are many local restaurants nearby to eat out this evening.

The E3 Saxo Classic is one of the few Spring Classics that starts in the same place. The event has its 68th edition on Friday 27th March 2026. The event is a mini-Tour of Flanders as it includes famous cobbled bergs such as the Paterberg and Oude Kwarement. The race manages to produce a stellar line up of riders each year with Mathieu van der Poel, Wout van Aert and and Mads Pedersen going head to head in 2025.

For the cyclists we offer the Gent-Wevelgem Cyclo-Sportive. Sportive distances available are 65, 80, 105, 125, 145 and 220 km and all distances start and finish in Wevelgem at just 8km from our hotel in Kortrijk. 

Gent-Wevelgem Cyclo itinerary

• Starting times are open from 07:30am and 12:00am depending on your chosen route
• Shuttle transfer back to Kortrijk after the finish

The evening is free to enjoy one of the local Kortrijk restaurants.

For the cyclists we offer the E3 Cyclo-Sportive. For the spectators we offer a full day’s Start to Finish Experience on Gent-Wevelgem. Choose from the standard experience or for an extra special day as a guest of Team Visma | Lease a Bike.

Sportive Weekend itinerary – E3 Cyclo

Taking place on the Sunday after the pro race, the E3 Cyclo allows riders to choose between 3 distances: 70km/ 435 ascent, 110km/ 830m ascent and 150km/ 1400m.

Gent-Wevelgem

• You will be collected from the hotel and transported to Ypres (40 mins)
• Enjoy the build up to the start in Ypres
• 12.00 – Start of the race
• Stop at various locations on the route for live race action
• Lunch and drinks en-route. TV screens on board
• See the finish in Wevelgem at 17.00
• Transport back to Kortrijk (10 mins)
• Get together in the hotel bar post-event

Gent-Wevelgem with Team Visma | Lease a Bike Itinerary

Early breakfast at the hotel.

• You will be collected from the hotel and transported to Ypres (40 mins)
• Team Visma | Lease a Bike host will meet you to begin your race day experience. Your host will be an ex-pro rider who will offer professional insights into the race
• Visit to the Team Hotel and briefing from the Team Directeur Sportive
• Visit to the Team Bus
• Visit the start village in Ypres for the team presentations and rider sign on
• 11.15am – Start of the race
• Stop at various locations on the route for live race action
• Lunch and drinks en-route. TV screens and race radio on board
• See the finish in Wevelgem at 16.00
• Podium ceremonies
• Transport back to Kortrijk (10 mins)
• Get together in the hotel bar post-event

Gent-Wevelgem in Flanders Fields starts from the Menin Gate in Ypres which is an impressive memorial to the victims of World War I. The finish comes 250 kilometres later in Wevelgem. De Moeren is a flat marshland where the wind can play a role. After this the riders head for a succession of climbs including the Monteberg, the Baneberg, the Scherpenberg and the Kemmelberg. The final section is a flat to the finish in Wevelgem.

After breakfast, please check out of the hotel and depart.
