The route takes in some of the toughest and most iconic climbs in the Alps. The event consists of 6 multi-mountain stages & an uphill time trial. Support at the Haute Route is unparalleled and and the entry includes a lot of services. You truly live and compete like a Pro cyclist for a week.

Itinerary

Day To Day

Please book a flight that arrives into Geneva Airport before lunchtime, to allow time to register.
Once in Megeve, make your way to the race village for registration & bike check. There will be a mandatory briefing this evening ahead of the start of the event tomorrow morning.

Transfers: The 2023 Haute Route Alps starts in Megeve and finishes in Nice. . Nearest airport is Geneva Airport (GVA) and Nice (NCE).

Please book a flight that arrives into Geneva Airport before lunchtime, to allow time to register.

After an early breakfast at the hotel, it’s a short roll across town to the start of stage 1.

Depending on the route, you may have to check out and have your luggage ready in the morning.

Typical day on the Haute Route

  • 05.30 – Wake up and breakfast
  • 06.30 – Drop off your bags with our team
  • 07.00 – Ride to the start line
  • 07.30 – Start of the stage
  • Private feed stations in pre-agreed places
  • 12.30 – Finish first riders
  • Hotel check-in, collect bags, post-stage snacks and drinks, massage, bike check, relax
  • 16.30 – Finish last riders
  • 18.30 – Race briefing
  • 20.00 – Evening meal and team briefing

After an early breakfast at the hotel, it’s another short roll across town to the start of stage 4.

After breakfast this morning, our staff can recommend a short warm-up ride.
The ITT stage may not be too long, but it could possibly the toughest stage that you’ll ever ride.
There will be free time this afternoon for you to recover from today’s exploits and to rest ahead of the final two stages.

After an early breakfast at the hotel, it’s another short roll across town to the start of stage 6.

This evening there will be a closing ceremony, where you can celebrate your achievements.

After breakfast please make your way to Nice Airport. It’s just a short distance to the airport from our hotel.

The Haute Route series looks to create the experience and challenge of riding a multi-day stage race, with events focused around the toughest and most iconic climbs in Europe. The 2023 Haute Route Alps starts in Megeve and finishes in Nice.
