2027 Haute Route Alps with Sportive Breaks
The 2027 Haute Route Alps will take place on the third week in August, Starting and finish locations are still to be confirmed. Haute Route Alps is a tough but rewarding Sportive, giving you a taste of the life of a professional cyclist in a stage race. The route takes in some of the toughest and most iconic climbs in the Alps and consists of 6 multi-mountain stages and usually a time trial, or in 3 or 5 stages with the new addition of the 3 and 5 day event. Support at the Haute Route Alps is unparalleled and by purchasing entry you get access to a number of services. What’s more, you get the unique opportunity to truly live and compete like a pro cyclist.
One of the toughest events in amateur cycling, the Haute Route Alps is the flagship event of the Haute Route Cycling Series. This is a challenege includes bucket list climbs made famous by the Most famous Grand Tours, a lot of the race is spent at altitude, with several Cols over 2,000 metres above sea level.

Itinerary - 2027
Day To Day
Travel to Nice
Please make your own arrangements to arrive at our hotel in Megève today. Our team will be available to meet you at the hotel. If you plan to fly then we offer an airport transfer for you, your luggage and your bike from Geneva airport at 12:00PM, please ensure you arrive with plenty of time if you wish to join our group transfers.
Our hotel
Your stay will be for 2 night’s on a bed and breakfast basis, with breakfasts included. You will have an early breakfast on the day of stage 1 and 2. You can keep your bike in your room with you.
What about my bike?
You can bring your own bike as we have made arrangements to transport bike boxes on our airport transfers. The event organisers mechanics will be available on registration day to help you with your bike.
This afternoon and early evening, our tour leader is available to assist with anything you may need. The evening is free for you to eat in one of Megeves’ many restaurants.
Typical day on the Haute Route
- 06:00AM – Wake up and breakfast
- 06:30AM – Drop off your bags with our team
- 07:00AM – Ride to the start line
- 07:30AM – Start of the stage
- 12:30PM – First riders finish
- 15:00PM — Hotel check-in, collect bags, post-stage snacks and drinks, massage, bike check, relax
- 16:30PM – Finish last riders
- 18:30PM – Race briefing
- 20:00PM – Evening meal (optional, at own expense) and team briefing

After breakfast we offer our optional transfer back to Geneva Airport.
Our airport transfer will leave our hotel at 09:30AM in time for flights that depart after 13:30PM. Please keep this in mind when booking your return journey home.

The Haute Route Alps
The Haute Route is a premier multi-day cycling event that challenges amateur riders to take on mountainous stages inspired by professional races. Known for its difficulty and stunning locations, Haute Route offers events across iconic cycling regions like the Alps, Pyrenees & Dolomites as well as single-day and three-day events in locations like Alpe d’Huez and Ventoux.
The multi-day Haute Route events like this year’s Alps edition typically span 5–7 days and cover around 800km (500 miles), including demanding climbs that gain thousands of meters in elevation, sometimes at high altitude.
