What's Included
Cyprus Week Cycling Holiday
What makes Cyprus such a great place for spring cycling? The road surfaces are as good as Mallorca but with almost no traffic. The terrain is mixed with long climbs, rolling hills and flat rides by the coast. And of course this is one of the warmest climates in Europe with temperatures in the low 20s from Feb and 325 sunny days per year. Over this 7 day tour we have two ride options per day allowing you to get some serious miles in or ease into the season gently. Routes alternate between easier rides & days in the hills with the highlights being the amazing Paphos Forest and the end of week sportive up Mount Olympus - from the sea to a ski resort in one ride!

One of the best day's riding in Europe. The Paphos Forest is a glorious stretch of road in a picturesque pine forest with almost no traffic, pretty much the perfect 40km bike path on super smooth tarmac! The road goes up to 1,200m so this is a big day for the Lead Group. The Main Bunch starts with a transfer to the forest section with lunch in the pretty traditional Cypriot village of Lysos before heading back to Paphos.

After a short climb we descend into Pissouri for lunch at a lovely restaurant with sea views and great food before rolling home.

Sportive Options
The big ride at the end of the week takes us from the sea to a ski resort going to the summit of Mt Olympus at almost 2,000m. We will go through a route briefing the previous evening and you will all start together at 8am. We will have feed stops every 25km/h and you will be able to get your day bag with extra layers the higher up you get. The route starts with a flat 15km and then rolls up with flat & downhill sections for 40kms before hitting the main climb (the official Strava segment doesn't start until 58km into the route but there is a proper 5km ramp into this). As you get through the town of Platres the terrain and temperature starts to change and you should hit the snow line around the mountain town of Troodos. The final turn off the Mt Olympus goes past the ski lifts and on most days it is cold here. We will meet you at the summit with your warm weather gear before descending back to Platres for lunch and then roll all the way back to Paphos.
