Sportive Breaks Ride Support

Ride Support

Sportive Breaks are well-known for providing a service that encourages a sense of team spirit and togetherness. We pride ourselves on doing all we can to ensure that all riders are supported so everyone achieves their goals. We do not enforce cut-off times on our guided tours, and we will support all riders until they finish the stage or daily route. Please read more about how we support you.

If after reading our advice below, you are not sure then our team is available for chat. please contact us on +44 (0)161 676 0390 or email us on hello@sportivebreaks.com

How we support you

Even though some of our tours and challenges are not easy, it’s still a holiday. Our team are there for you and our experienced guides are focussed on providing you with the best experience. Support levels differ slightly depending on what trip you book with us. Please find an overview below.

Sportives

Marmotte | Etape du Tour | Gran Fondo Milan Sanremo | Mallorca 312 | Gran Fondo Strade Bianche

Guided Rides

On selected events we include a guided warm-up ride as part of our Sportive or Gran Fondo weekends. A short, local ride is organised to test legs, bikes and see some of the challenges ahead.

Feed Stations

On selected Sportives where the organisers allow us, we provide private feed stations on the route for exclusive use by Sportive Breaks riders only. On selected events we also provide a day bag service where the rider gives us a bag which we make available at a pre-agreed location during the race. A selection of real food and energy products is provided on each full feed station and water, drinks, and gels on a liquid feed station. What’s available can vary per event so for specifics per event, please contact us. Please contact us on +44 (0)161 676 0390 or email us on hello@sportivebreaks.com

Weekenders

Guided Rides

Stelvio | Alpe d’Huez | Dolomites | Tour de France Climbs | Dauphine |Tourmalet

You will be supported by a team of 2 or 3 of our guides. One or two minibuses (depending on group size) will provide you with food and assistance stations each day, and emergency support. One or two riders (depending on group size) on the road will ride with the group and provide fun and banter and local knowledge We understand that the group may split based on speed (see our note on navigation below) so having support vehicles means that we can give you the opportunity to ride at your own pace and that you will have access to your personal kit, snacks, water and any mechanical or first aid support when you need it. Our vans have full tool kits and some spare parts, but you must be able to fix your own punctures. We aim to provide feed stops every 20m/35km depending on the weather and the daily route.

Multi-day Tours

Guided Rides

Raid Pyrenean | Tour of the Dolomites | Tour of the Alps | Grand Tours | Italy Coast to Coast

Our support is the same as the Weekenders with the difference that we will also provide luggage transport on the days that you are cycling from hotel to hotel or if we are moving from one hotel to the next on one of our tours to ride and watch at the Grand Tours (Giro, Tour de France and Vuelta).
