The Haute Route Ventoux is back on Friday 6th October 2023. Come and join us in Provence to tackle the mighty Mont Ventoux. The “Giant of Provence” is the main attraction of the Haute Route Ventoux but you will also discover the wonderful area of Provence and its tranquil roads. Out on the road , riders can expect excellent support and post-race you will benefit from massages, post-race food and a convivial atmosphere.
Here at Sportive Breaks, we are proud to be an official partner of the Haute Route series. We have years of experience of organising travel and support packages to the Haute Route and we’re looking forward to supporting amateur cyclists again at Haute Route Ventoux.

Haute Route Ventoux

The Haute Route Ventoux 2023 will feature a new, unique course where riders can enjoy rolling through the beautiful Provence. Steeped in cycling history, this renowned location has featured in the Grand Tour over 18 times providing the same routes taken by some of the greats. Tick off these bucket-list climbs all whilst immersing yourself in the electric Haute Route atmosphere.

Thursday 5th October : Travel to Bedoin

Please make your own arrangements to arrive at our hotel in Bedoin today. Our team will be available to meet you at the hotel. If you plan to fly then we offer private transfers for you, your luggage and your bike from Marseille Airport or from Avignon Train Station. These are available on request so please contact us.

Our hotel

We are staying at the hotel Le Guintrand. Your stay will be for 3 nights on a half board basis so with breakfasts included.

What about my bike?

You can bring your own bike as we have made arrangements to transport bike boxes on our airport transfers. Our mechanic will be available this afternoon at the hotel to assist you with building your bike after travel.

Registration

Please ensure that you arrive mid-afternoon to give yourself time to prepare and to visit registration. You can register until 20.00 this evening. This afternoon and early evening, our tour leader and bike mechanic are available for you to assist with bike building.

Friday 6th October – Stage 1 : Bedoin

We have an early breakfast at the hotel today. Today is your first taste of Mont Ventoux with an 98km stage that finishes on the summit. After the finish, descend back down to Bedoin.

After the finish, our team will guide you to your hotel. There’s time to book a massage, get your bike checked by our mechanic and relax. After the Haute Route race briefing, we’ll have the evening meal together at the hotel.

Saturday 7th October - Stage 2 : Bedoin

We have an early breakfast at the hotel today. Today’s stage starts in Bedoin again and finishes on Mont Ventoux after tackling it from the other side.
After the finish, our team will guide you to your hotel. There’s time to book a massage, get your bike checked by our mechanic and relax. After the Haute Route race briefing, we’ll have the evening meal together at the hotel.

Sunday 8th October – Final stage and departure : Bedoin

After breakfast it’s time for the final stage; an individual time trial up Mont Ventoux.

After stage finish, it’s time to pack your bike away and depart. You can book our transfer back to Marseille or Avignon or stay another night with us and depart tomorrow.

Extra night

If you are staying another night with us there’s time to book a massage, get your bike checked by our mechanic and relax. This evening our mechanic is available to assist you with re-packing your bike into the box so you’re ready for travel tomorrow.

Monday 9th October - Departure : Bedoin

After breakfast we offer our optional transfer back to Marseille airport. We advise you not to book any flights before 10:00 as it will be a mega early start.

Haute Route Mont Ventoux

Le Guintrand is a charming hotel located in the small hamlet of Ste-Colombe in the town of Bedoin at the foot of the giant of Provence, Mont Ventoux, it was built in the late 1800s. The hotel is situated in a traditional Provençal building. The hotel’s on-site restaurant offers traditional, Provencal cuisine made from fresh seasonal and regional products.
