Route Notes
One of the hardest 100 mile routes in the country with a beautiful mix of riding on the moors & along the coast. Starting in Umberleigh, we have a rolling 18km before riding onto the moor on an exposed road that could be tough if there is any wind. After Exford, we head over three short climbs including Drapers Way before descending into Porlock & the first feed. Straight out of town is the most famous climb of the day, 4km at over 9%. The road then stays close to the coast with punchy climbs in and out of Lynton as we roll through the Valley of the Rocks. The climbs keep coming in and out of Coombe Martin for the second feed before climbing over the moor all the way to Simonsbath with stunning wide views. This part is exposed again just in case you needed more of a challenge. The last 30km are the easiest part of the route but there are still a couple of lumps to get over before finishing with a well earned pint back in Umberleigh.

Ride Rules
Riders should have water bottles, the route downloaded, suitable clothing & a bike in good condition. Helmets at all times are mandatory. We will email you Covid protocols before the ride depending on the laws and guidelines at the time.
We are lucky enough to ride in beautiful places. We have a zero tolerance litter policy – there will be bins at each feed stop so please leave the area as you found it. Please be respectful of local drivers, riders, walkers etc. This is their home, we are just there to ride our bikes. On the ride, look after other cyclists. On narrow lanes & busy sections, don’t ride two a breast. No half wheeling. Take extra caution on the descents – the nature of these rides are that they will be full of tough climbs and technical descents. We will run through the major hazards before the ride but it is your responsibility to ride to your level. By signing up for this ride, you need to be in suitable physical shape for the ride.
