2025 Haute Route Alps with Sportive Breaks
The 2025 Haute Route Alps starts on Sunday August 24th in Megeve, and finishes on Saturday August 30th in Nice, after 7 days of Alpine riding.
Haute Route Alps is a tough but rewarding 7 – day sportive, that will give you a taste of the life of a professional cyclist in a stage race. The route takes you to some of the toughest and most iconic climbs in the Alps. The event consists of 6 multi-mountain stages & an uphill time trial. Haute Route support is unparalleled and and the entry includes many services. You will live and compete like a Pro cyclist for a week.
One of the toughest weeks in amateur cycling, the Haute Route Alps is the flagship event of the Haute Route Cycling Series. This is a week of cycling bucket list climbs made famous by the Tour de France and the Giro d’Italia. Much of it is spent at altitude with several cols over 2,000 meters/6,500ft above sea level.
2025 Haute Route Alps dates
The 2025 Haute Route Alps will take place between Sunday August 24th and Saturday August 30th. Our 8-night package starts on Saturday August 25th and finishes on Sunday August 31st.
The 2025 Haute Route Alps route
The 2025 Haute Route Alps will start in Megeve and finish in Nice, with more details of all 7 stages coming soon. The 2024 route is detailed below to give you an idea of what to expect.
The route will cover 443miles/714km and 63664 ft/19,405M of elevation over the 7 days. You will take on some of the world famous cycling climbs such as the mighty Alpe d’Huez, Col de la Loze, Col de la Bonnette and Col du Glandon to name a few. Stage 4 will be the time trial from Bourg d’Oisans to Alpe d’Huez.
Stage 1 – Megève – Megève – 61.8 miles, 8,471 ft (Col des Aravis, Col de la Colombière, Megève Altiport)
Stage 2 – Megève – Col de la Loze – 71.1 miles, 10,498ft (Col des Saisies, Col de la Loze)
Stage 3 – Courchevel – L’Alpe d’Huez – 85 miles, 14,599ft (Col de la Madeleine, Col du Glandon, L’ Alpe d’Huez)
Stage 4: Bourg d’Oisans – Alpe d’Huez – 9.9 miles (individual time trial), 3,690ft
Stage 5 – L’ Alpe d’Huez – Col du Granon – 53 miles, 9,186ft (Col du Lautaret, Col du Granon)
Stage 6 – Briançon – Auron – 86.3 miles, 11,975ft (Col de Vars, Col de la Bonnette, Climb to Auron)
Stage 7: Auron – Nice – 75.8 miles, 5,249ft (Col de St Martin)
Our 2025 Haute Route Alps package is limited to 15 riders. We offer a non-rider discount of $2,150 to non-riders and to those riders who already have their own Haute Route entry.
Well located hotels: A mix of 2*, 3* and 4* hotels in convenient locations. We prioritize location over luxury. Breakfasts included. You are free to make your own arrangements for dinner each night.

Travel to Megeve
Please make your own arrangements to arrive at our hotel in Megeve today. Our team will be available to meet you at the hotel. If you plan to fly then we offer a airport transfer for you, your luggage and your bike from Geneva Airport at 12:00.
Our hotel
We are staying at the hotel TBC. Your stay will be for 2 nights on a bed and breakfast basis so with breakfasts included. You will have an early breakfast on the days of stage 1 & 2. You can keep your bike in your room with you.
What about my bike?
You can bring your own bike as we have made arrangements to transport bike boxes on our airport transfers. Our mechanic will be available this afternoon at the hotel to assist you with building your bike after travel.
This afternoon and early evening, our tour leaders and bike mechanics are available for you. The evening is free for you to eat out in one of Megeve’s many restaurants.
Typical day on the Haute Route
- 05.30 – Wake up and breakfast
- 06.30 – Drop off your bags with our team
- 07.00 – Ride to the start line
- 07.30 – Start of the stage
- 12.30 – Finish first riders
- Hotel check-in, collect bags, post-stage snacks and drinks, massage, bike check, relax
- 16.30 – Finish last riders
- 18.30 – Race briefing
- 20.00 – Evening meal (optional, at own expense) and team briefing

After the finish of today’s stage, enjoy a post-race massage and meal before descending back to our hotel.

There is always an Individual Time Trial as part of the Haute Route Alps, usually in the middle of the week.

After breakfast we offer our a optional transfer back to Nice airport. We advise you not to book any flights before 10:00 as it will be a very early start. Our airport transfer will leave our hotel at 09:30 in time for flights that depart Nice Airport after 12:00.
