Strade Bianche 2020

3 Night Packages

Starting in Siena, Strade Bianche takes place on the 8th March 2020 and is one of the modern classics on the sportive calendar. Our package includes a 60km ride where you will catch the pro race en route as well as experience the gravel sportive first-hand.

What is the Strade Bianche Sportive?

In the late 90s, the golden age of cycling was celebrated by amateurs riding old bikes across stunning gravel roads. This event became so popular; the pros wanted the opportunity to ride over the same terrain.

In 2007, the Strade Bianche launched and is the first classic pro race and Gran Fondo of the season. Pro cyclists race the same famous white roads of Tuscany as many before them.

The Gran Fondo takes place the day after the sportive so that cycle enthusiasts can experience the same thrill as the pros.

Routes & FAQs

The Routes

There are two routes available as part of the Strade Bianche, both starting and ending in picturesque Siena.

Choose the Route

Ride Distance: 139

Elevation gain: 1350

This is the longest of the two and covers the same route as the women’s elite race. Section 2 is the most challenging, with a considerable climb to conquer. However, it is all worth it for those gravel roads. Don’t forget to conserve your energy for the final climb back into Siena.

Ride Distance: 86

Elevation gain: 950

This is a shorter route, but there will still be plenty of opportunities to experience the gravel. Starting together, section two splits off and takes us down some new gravel roads, before rejoining route one for the final 20km.
