More about the event
Gran Fondo Lombardia
Italy’s Lake Como is a wonderful place to ride. With a mixture of challenging climbs and routes that run alongside sparkling lakesides and beautiful villages; the Sportive complements the race of the Falling Leaves, also known as the Tour of Lombardy.
What better way to end a lakeside race than by enjoying delicious food and toasting wine that has been produced locally?
The 2025 route is the same as previous years with start and finish in Cantù (Como). The first 25 km follow the roads
in Brianza, leading the riders to the hardest yet most exciting km of the race that climb to the MURO DI SORMANO.
After a sharp descent, the route levels out briefly on the shores of Lake Como and then undulates again up to Regatola, where the participants will tackle the second climb of the day, the GHISALLO, the race now is at km 70. A long descent will lead them to Merone, allowing to rest their legs before the final 20 km, climbing again in short and steep spurts. After 109 km of racing and 1,700 m in vertical altitude gain, the riders reach the finish in the heart of
Cantù, to be crowned heroes like Felice Gimondi.
GRAN FONDO – 109,5 Km
GRAN FONDO WITHOUT MURO DI SORMANO – 111,9 Km
