This tour has been designed with riders of all abilities in mind. Our team of Adelaide locals are passionate about offering access to all riders to enjoy the event. 

We keep the average daily ride distance for our core tour manageable at around 60km each day. It’s still worth noting the largest day takes on 104km with 1,190m of climbing. Our hosts are experts and spend their spare time on these Adelaide roads, if you want extra km’s or less, we can definitely help out.

You will have a support vehicle on every one of our guided rides ensuring you have timely assistance for mechanicals, nutrition and anything else you may need to enjoy the experience.

Prices for the 2026 4-night Packages:

  • $2,814 per person based on two people sharing a room (Twin or Double option)
  • $3,654 based on a single occupancy of a room.

Note: It is a requirement that you have Travel Insurance for your trip.

DAY ONE - ARRIVAL

PLEASE ARRIVE INTO ADELAIDE PRIOR TO 12 NOON

Today we recommend you arrive into Adelaide before midday. Make your way to the Pullman Hotel and check-in to begin your luxurious experience in the prime CBD location. Our mechanic will be available to assist you with the assembly of your bike and any fine-tuning required to help your bike recover from the trip over!

Once you’ve had the chance to settle in and the group has arrived at around 2pm we’ll take the bikes out for a quick spin up Adelaide’s most-popular climb so you can check your bike and wake up the legs for the week. 

Tonight we’ll enjoy our first group dinner at the hotel.

DAY TWO | Stage 3: Henley Beach to Nairne

Date

Friday 23 January

Today we’ll start early to take you on an epic ride through the Adelaide Hills & surrounds. You’ll leave a change of clothes with us and depart from the hotel for a great day ahead.

We’ve planned two ride options to get you well acquainted with some of the Adelaide’s finest tarmac. Choose the option to best suit you, and your legs, and the whole group will meet at an ideal lunch spot.

You’ll be able to securely store your bike, grab your change of clothes and freshen up to settle in to watch today’s stage. We’ll enjoy lunch together watching the race and after the stage concludes you and your bike will be transported back to the hotel.

This evening is the perfect opportunity to recover and enjoy a taste of the incredible cuisines available near the hotel.

DAY THREE | Stage 4: Brighton to Willunga Hill

For everyone with the legs to hop on the bike again after breakfast we will depart early to make the pilgrimage out to Willunga Hill. You’ll enjoy a morning rolling along the spectacular coastline and through one of South Australia’s famous wine regions of McLaren Vale. One final climb will take you up the famous Willunga Hill to our Marquee set up for prime viewing of the stage finale.

Anyone choosing not to ride will be transported from the hotel to the top of the hill to make a short walk down to the Sportive Breaks marquee.

DAY FOUR | Stage 5: Stirling to Stirling

After breakfast we will depart the hotel on bikes heading up into the Adelaide Hills for the final stage. We’ll have plenty of time to show you some of the hidden gem routes in the region before parking up in prime position to watch the final stage of this year’s Santos Tour Down Under.  

Lunch will be provided and you’ll be able to see the peloton complete multiple loops of the Stirling hills circuit ready for the Ochre Jersey to be awarded.

Daily Rides

We offer a guided ride each day. We have experienced local Adelaide riders as your bike guides joining you on the road. We also have a support vehicle with a driver.

We will ride to and from the hotel each day to engage with the day’s stage, the support vehicle will always be close by in case of any mechanical issues, or if you are not feeling up to riding the whole distance. On some occasions we may have 2 ride options for the day, these will be communicated as short ride and long ride. 

Transportation

We will have the support vehicle close to the riding group at all possible opportunities. The support vehicle will carry day packs for riders along with sports hydration powders, water, some refreshments and tools for mechanicals.

If the day’s stage is a long distance that we can’t safely cover by bike we will arrange additional transport, see itinerary for details. 

Who is this tour for?

Our tours are all about enjoyment and safety, you must be used to riding in a group. This tour involves riding to and from the hotel daily and includes watching each stage live – mostly from our road side marquee in a prime position. We have picnic lunches available for you to refuel at the marquee.

Riding Ability: Ride 2 to 3 times a week / Average ride distance:  50km+ kilometres | Average ride elevation: Comfortable with 1000+ meters | Average Riding Time: Comfortable being in the saddle for 4+ Hours

My fitness and experience: Fitness is central to my life. I ride my bike regularly every week and am comfortable with rides of 3-4 hours or more at a relatively steady pace. I enjoy all-terrain, with hills and some moderate mountain passes. I like getting some speed on moderate descents.
