Four days of classic climbs, unbelievable scenery and great food, what’s not to love? For cycling lovers our Dolomites Weekender doesn’t get much better!

Often called the best cycling route in the world, riders will have the chance to take on the Sella Ronda, a circular route over four climbs with amazing views throughout.

The true highlight of this long weekend is the scenery in all directions. On every ride we are surrounded by incredible views, clean air and life-affirming riding.

Our hotel for the weekend will be located in Badia near Corvara, one of our favourite cycling towns in the world and the home of the popular Maratona. Perfect for post-ride spas & beers on the balcony!

Day One - Badia

If you are driving or are using public transport, please make your own way to meet us at the hotel. Alternatively, if you arrive at Venice Marco Polo Airport and require an airport transfer, then we will arrange this around your flight schedule

This afternoon, there will be an optional ride to warm-up the legs and bed-in your own bike or rental.

Airport Transfers

Included with your Dolomites Cycling Tour, we can offer an airport transfer for you, your luggage, and your bike from Marseille airport. If you wish to use this service, then you must provide us with your flight details ahead of time

The transfer will be arranged to pick you up 1 hour after your flight has arrived, leaving you enough time to clear airport security and baggage.

Transfer will take roughly 3 hours

Day Two - Sella Ronda

After breakfast, we meet at for a rollout at 09:30am. Our mechanic is on hand for any last minute bike work before we head out towards the Passo Campolongo together. 

The group will ride the Sella Ronda over the Pordoi where we grab a coffee and then the stunning Sella & Gardena. We have a late lunch back in La Villa before a relaxing afternoon.

Day Three - Passo delle Erbe

Another breakfast rollout at 09:30am. Today we head off the beaten path and escape the world going over the Passo delle Erbe and then back over the Gardena. A stunning local ride on narrow, empty roads today is one of the highlights of the weekend.

A monster day in the mountains going over the Valporolo, dropping towards Cortina before the mighty Giau and Campolongo on the way home.

Day Five - Departure

Today breakfast will be at 8:00am. You will have the morning to pack your bikes and bags, before departing for the airport.

Returning Home – Departure from your hotel

Airport transfers will be arranged around your flight schedule and we will take into account the distance to the airport and the 2 hour check-in requirement, therefore your transfer will be ready to pick-up you up roughly 4 hours before your flight departs.

This is the perfect Cycling Break for avid amateur cyclists and the same tried and tested formula can be expected in each destination. All Cycling Tours are hosted by local riders and in Italy you can even ride with a former Giro d’Italia stage winner! Riders arrive on their desired day and go on to enjoy a minimum of 4 days in the saddle, taking in a combination of classic world-renowned cols and climbs made famous by the Tour de France, Giro d’Italia and Vuelta a Espana. We also introduce some undiscovered climbs favoured by local riders.

We offer 3 fully supported, guide-led rides with a support van on hand. We also offer a shorter ride, which is a warm-up ride on arrival day to ensure your rental bike is working fine.

The routes for each day are challenging but suitable for most regular riders. La Villa and Badia is the perfect setting for some post-ride R&R. Our hotel has a spa and sports massage and the terrace out front is perfect for a couple of beers as the sun goes down over the mountains.

Our tour is suitable for avid amateur cyclists to seasoned riders, with a love for the sport and a desire to ride in a cyclists paradise. Our guided rides are ridden at a pace dictated by the standard of your group, but we always take the time to enjoy the picturesque scenery.

We also have a team of local riders and mechanics on hand who will guide you around their home roads for an unforgettable experience.

The Dolomites is a special place in the cycling world. Ask anyone that’s been and they will rave about the incredible scenery, warm hospitality and amazing climbs (and descents!). On the rides we take in the classic climbs of the region including the Passo Giau, Sella Ronda and some local routes off the beaten path. The routes for each day are challenging but suitable for most regular riders. La Villa and Badia is the perfect setting for some post-ride R&R. Our hotel has a spa and sports massage and the terrace out front is perfect for a couple of beers as the sun goes down over the mountains. Our minimum 5-day, 4-night trip aims to tackle 100km per day with around 5 hours of riding. This can be adapted to your groups neeeds.
