The 2024 Vuelta a Espana starts in Lisbon, Portugal on Saturday 17 August and the Spanish Grand Tour will finish in Madrid on Sunday 8 September. The first three stages take place in Portugal before the race heads into Spain. As usual there is plenty of climbing and La Vuelta will feature mountain top finishes near Lagos de Covadonga, at Picón Blanco and Cuitu Negru. The final day in Madrid is interesting as there will be an individual time trial.
