Women's Mallorca Weekender with Sportive Breaks

Always fancied a cycling trip, but were worried about it being all male, or male dominated? Worried about the pace or being able to ride in a group without being left behind? Perhaps you’re a strong cyclist, but just want the company of other females to experience such a trip? Well in 2025, we have the perfect opportunity for you…

Join Sportive Breaks on the beautiful island of Mallorca for a cycling weekend created by women, for women. This trip offers the opportunity to cycle with like-minded women who love to ride. We will offer different riding groups so you can ride at your own pace, stop at some of the well-reviewed cycling cafe stops and eat some local cuisine as a group. There will be female ride leaders to guide the groups around the best cycling roads in Mallorca.

Mallorca has long been one of the best places to ride with routes that take in the beautiful scenery, famous climbs to test the legs and to finish the day with a cocktail as the sun sets.

Louise Vardeman will be joining this trip, who is one of the incredible Internationelles – who rode every stage of the 3-week Tour de France recently, ahead of the race. The group are a driving force in women’s cycling and are consistently fighting for equality in the sport. Louise is an inspiration on the bike; in 2012 she didn’t even own a bike and now she is representing Team GB at the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships in Aalborg!

We are staying in Pollenca, which is the perfect location for cyclists to base themselves in Mallorca. Every day you can join your choice of guided rides straight from the hotel. You can choose from 2 ride groups each day depending on your fitness and experience level. On the road you will be looked after by English-speaking female ride captains.

Bring your own bike or rent one of our carbon road bikes for the weekend. Breakfast and evening meals are included. As well as the cycling, you can enjoy the hotel’s pool and have a dip in the sea!

Spread your payments: Our payment plan is an interest-free payment method where you will have the opportunity to spread payment for your booking.

Females only: Spend the weekend with other female cyclists and be guided around by female ride leaders.

Ride the best routes in Mallorca: All routes will start from the hotel and will include the light house (Forementor) and Sa Calobra.

You can bring your own bike as we are able to transport bike boxes on our airport transfers. Alternatively, you can rent a bike with us for the weekend. Our mechanic will be available this afternoon at the hotel to assist you with fitting your rental bike or building your own bike after travel. Bikes can be safely stored at the hotel.

Our Hotel

We are staying at a 4* hotel in Pollensa. The hotel is booked on a Half Board basis, with breakfasts and evening meals included.

Late afternoon and early evening, our tour leaders and bike mechanics are available for you. We will have an afternoon ride to spin your legs ready for the trip. We will have an evening meal together at the hotel.

Ride option

Please try arrive before lunch to allow you to join us for a welcome ride in the afternoon. The ride will be a steady 30km to ease you into the weekend.

Enjoy breakfast followed by today’s guided ride.

The route today will take us to the famous Cap de Formentor. We will warm the legs up before the ascent up and then enjoy the stunning views from the route. A cafe stop is a must so we will stop at the lighthouse cafe to refuel and take some obligatory pics!

Choose from 2 levels of riding every day. Either a leisurely coffee ride group or a faster pace of riding; we have you covered. You can even mix and match as there is no need to stick with the same group every day.

On arrival back to the hotel, you can enjoy our after-ride coffee break. Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks are available at the hotel. This will be available every day.

This afternoon you are free to enjoy the hotel’s facilities and we will have the evening meal together at the hotel.

Breakfast followed by today’s guided rides.

For today’s ride we will head to Vilafranca de Bonany to climb up to one of the islands three famous monasteries, Ermita de Bonany. At the top you can enjoy incredible 360 degree views of Mallorca. We will stop for lunch in Petra before heading back to Pollensa.

You then have the afternoon to relax and enjoy the Spanish sunshine or explore the local area. We will gather as a group for dinner.

After breakfast you can choose between the longer route or a shorter route.

Both routes will head out in the same direction towards Sa Colabra. Once we have climbed up the beautiful Col de Sa Batalla we will stop at the famous fafe next to the Repsol garage. After the cafe stop one group will push on towards the famous Sa Colabra. The second group will turn right and descend the Col de Femenia back towards Pollensa.

This afternoon you are free to enjoy the hotel’s facilities before we have the final evening meal together at the hotel.

Enjoy breakfast this morning. If you have a later flight tonight, then you do have the opportunity to join us for a final ride today.

We will run one group transfer from the hotel at 14:00pm. Please book a flight that departs after 17:30pm.

Riding groups

You will have the choice of two levels of riding every day. We will aim to be back at the hotel at a similar time so you can enjoy a post ride coffee as a group. With Group 1 setting a faster pace and Group 2 taking a steady ride, you will be able to choose a group which suits your ability.
