The Giro d’Italia is the first grand tour of the season, a three week stage race taking in various regions of Italy. The riders take on 21 stages across different terrains designed for all types of riders; sprinters, climbers and puncheurs. The route changes every year which means the type of rider who attends will change too. Grand Tours are highly prestigious and any victory is highly sought after by all riders. But the biggest question is, who will win the battle for the pink jersey in 2025? There are three grand tours every year, the others are; France and Spain.

The 2025 Giro d’Italia will take place between Saturday 10th May and Sunday 1st June.
The official route announcement for the Giro took place in January 2025. Available stages are now on sale as day experiences only. Be warned – places will be limited!

Visit the start and finish: Enjoy the start village before the race, visit the team paddock, lunch and drinks en-route and the finish area post-race (the time spent here will depend on how the race develops)

Day To Day
The Giro d’Italia takes place across various regions of Italy. The race takes riders across a wide variety of terrain across beautiful regions, allowing spectators to see all that Italy has to offer.
For the 2025 edition we offer stages as an experience only package. Arrive at the meeting point in the morning, experience the stage up close and personal as part of the team, make your own onward travel arrangements from the finish line. We can offer a free shuttle back to the start location.
2025 Giro d’Italia
The route for the 2025 edition starts with 3 stages in Albania. The route then works its way to northern Italy before finishing with the final week being held across the northern regions. This edition includes; 2 time trials, 6 flat stages, 8 ‘hilly’ stages and 5 mountain stages.
This breakdown is quite misleading as there is plenty of climbing across the route and the final week looks especially challenging. Expect a very challenging race with a lot of fireworks.
Team Visma | Lease a Bike’s 2025 Giro
The team are planning on sending a very strong squad for their Giro d’Italia campaign;
- Simon Yates – Team leader targeting GC
- Wout van Aert – Domestique and stage wins
- Olav Kooij – Stage wins
After booking you will be contacted by Sportive Breaks with further details of your selected stage. We will meet away from the race start area before travelling to the team bus and village depart.
You will spend the day as a guest of the team in an official TVL minibus equipped with route map and interior TV screens so we can watch the race live during the day.
On our way to the stage start we will visit the team bus. Here one of the team directors will give you the inside track on the team’s race tactics for the day and meet the riders as they prepare for the day ahead. There may even be time for a stroopwafel and a coffee. We will then visit the Start Village and the team paddock before setting off for the day.
You will spend the day with us in an official black and yellow TVL minibus equipped with food, drinks and interior TV screens so we can watch the stage live during the day*. You will drive on the course of the stage on closed roads and be a proper part of the support team. You will experience the race at various locations.
During the day we will be handing out musettes, wheels and water bottles during the race. We will also stop for a lunch break.
We head to the finish area to catch the finale of the race**. Hopefully we can join in with the team celebrations. After the race comes to a close your race day experience does too. From the finish area please organise your own onward travel.

Team Visma | Lease a Bike ‘in the Heart of the Race’ VIP experiences
Ahead of Race Day we will communicate the day’s itinerary and the start and finish locations.
The day begins with our Team Visma | Lease a Bike host who will meet you to begin your race day experience. You host will be an ex-pro rider who will offer professional insights into the race. The first stop is a visit to the team hotel where one of the team Directors will share the team’s race strategy with you for the day.
After visiting the team hotel, we set off for the start area where you will visit the Team Bus to see how a World Tour Cycling Team prepare for a race day. From there you visit the start village for the team presentations and rider sign on. Now it’s time for the race to get underway.
You will be in an official Team Visma | Lease a Bike vehicle with full race accreditation for access to the race course. The vehicle is equipped with a map of the official race route and live TV coverage. During the day you will stop at multiple points on the roadside and have a chance to hand out bottles to the riders as they come past. During the day we will stop for lunch along with having snacks and drinks available throughout the day.
We aim to arrive at the finish in time to see it live but we can’t guarantee this as it depends on how the race plays out on the day. Once the race and podium ceremonies are over the full race day experience with Team Visma | Lease a Bike draws to a close. Your host will take you to the end point.
