Hotel for two nights: Our hotels are well-located for stage access. Stay either two nights in the same hotel or one night near the start followed by one night near the finish (dependent on the stage).
Drive on the stage route: Drive on the race route in a TVL vehicle and be part of the support crew. TV Screens with live race coverage on board as well as drinks and snacks.
Meet the Team: Hosted by the team you will be part of the team’s bid to win the Pink Jersey during one of the Giro stages. Visit the team bus before the stage, drive in a TVL branded vehicle on the stage route hosted by the team, and much more!
VIP Hospitality: Enjoy the start village before the race, and visit the team bus paddock. Watch the stage finish either from the VIP hospitality area, or from the roadside in the decisive final kilometres.

Race organisers RCS rely on their experiences from another one of their races; Tirreno-Adriatico with the short and steep climbs called ‘muri’ (walls). A short loop around Fermo closes the stage with climbs up to Fermo and Capodarco before finishing in the town of Fermo.

We’re in Marco Pantani country today. Cervia is next to Cesenatico where the controversial Italian cycling hero was born. The Giro d’Italia Women will start here on Saturday 30 May so in just two weeks’ time from this stage. After a flat lead into Bologna, the riders tackle the Apennines. The final 30 kilometres are brutal with 2400 metres of climbing packed in. The final climb up to Corno alle Scale is mega steep.

This is quite a long Individual Time Trial at 40 kilometres so the time trial specialists can gain some time today. The route is fast and flat within view of the Tuscan coastline.

After the second rest day in Tuscany and the Time Trial the race continues its journey north along the Tuscan coast. The riders tackle this hilly stage that’s just short of 180 kilometres long. The stage is full of hilly terrain with a few ‘Passos’ and ‘Colles’ on the way before the finish on the coast in Chiavari just 50km south of Genoa.

- Start – 9km from Lucca
- Finish – 50km from Genoa

Aosta is just across the border from France. Nip over the Col de Petit Saint Bernard past the ski resort of La Rosiere and after just 60 kilometres you are in Bourg Saint Maurice. Today’s stage will be going high into the Aosta Valley. The stage is just 133 kilometres in length but a whopping 4400 metres will be climbed today and the finish at Pila is at almost 1800m altitude. As Pila is just 20km out of Aosta it is possible to stay at the same hotel for two nights.

- Start/ Finish – 100km from Geneva. 70km from Turin.

Today’s stage is 136 kilometres long and looks like a ready-made opportunity for one of the fast men in the peloton. The race finishes with four laps of a Milan city centre circuit close to the Vigorelli Velodrome.

- Start – 80km from Milan
- Finish – 0km from Milan

After the third and final rest day near Milan the riders tackle a short but intense stage in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland. The riders tackle the Leonticas climb twice mid-stage. The finish is at the ski resort of Carì ski situated at 1650m altitude.

- Start – 30km from Lugano
- Finish – 80km from Cari
This stage packs in a whopping 5000 metres and it also features the Cima Coppi (highest point of the race) with the Passo Giau and its 2233 metres peak.

- Start – 30km to Belluno
- Finish – 50km from Belluno

Simon Yates of Team Visma | Lease a Bike is the current Giro d’Italia holder. Hopefully he will be back in 2026 to defend his title, possibly alongside Jonas Vingegaard.
The route of the 109th Giro d’Italia was announced in Rome on Monday 1 December 2025. Sportive Breaks are official premium Tour Operator, and we will offer fully supported Cycling and Spectator Tours, official Giro Hospitality experiences on every stage plus VIP experiences with team Visma | Lease a Bike on selected stages.
The 2026 Giro d’Italia will start on Friday 8 May 2026 with 3 stages in Bulgaria. After an early extra rest day racing on Italian soil resumes on Tuesday 12 May in Calabria. After this the race slowly winds its way up north via Naples, Tuscany, Milan and the mountains of north eastern Italy before finishing in Rome on Sunday 31 May.

This evening we will have a meal together, and your host will provide a briefing on your exciting experience ahead.

After breakfast at the hotel your race day experience starts.
We start with a visit to either the Team hotel, or the Team bus. Here one of the team directors will give you the inside track on the team’s race tactics for the day. You will also have chance to see the riders as they prepare for the day ahead. We will also visit the Start Village and the team paddock before setting off on the race route.
You will spend the day with us in an official black and yellow TVL minibus equipped with food, drinks and interior TV screens, to watch the stage live during the day*. You will drive on the race route on closed roads, and stop at various locations to watch the race live from the roadside. You may even get to watch your host handing out bottles or musettes.
We will also stop for a lunch break.
We will watch the finale of the race from either the finish hospitality area, or from the roadside in the decisive final few kilometres**. Hopefully we can join in with the team celebrations! After the race comes to a close we will head to our hotel and finish with an evening meal together.
*Please note that reception may be affected in certain regions which may affect transmission quality throughout the day.
**Please note that the race finish may not always be seen live due to how the race has developed and road closures.

Age Limit: No children under 12 years old. For children between 12 and 16, please be aware that the experience is a long, all day experience with a lot of travelling. Please make sure they are aware of this before booking.
Team Visma | Lease a Bike ‘in the Heart of the Race’ VIP experiences
The day begins with our Team Visma | Lease a Bike host who will meet you to begin your race day experience. Your host will be an ex-pro rider who will offer professional insights into the race. The first stop is a visit to the team hotel where one of the team Directors will share the team’s race strategy with you for the day.
After visiting the team hotel, we set off for the start area where you will visit the Team Bus to see how a World Tour Cycling Team prepare for a race day. From there you visit the start village for the team presentations and rider sign on. Now it’s time for the race to get underway.
You will be in an official Team Visma | Lease a Bike vehicle with full race accreditation for access to the race course. The vehicle is equipped with a map of the official race route and live TV coverage. During the day you will stop at multiple points on the roadside and we will stop for lunch along with having snacks and drinks available throughout the day.
We aim to arrive at the finish in time to see it live but we can’t guarantee this as it depends on how the race plays out on the day. Once the race and podium ceremonies are over the full race day experience with Team Visma | Lease a Bike draws to a close. Your host will take you to the end point.
