The Tour de France is the biggest professional bike race in the world. It is an annual three week stage race taking in various regions in France and often visits a foreign region for the Grand Depart. The route covers 21 stages across different terrains designed for all types of riders; sprinters, climbers and puncheurs. A Tour de France stage win is a highly sought after prize which very few riders ever achieve. The biggest goal in this race is the yellow jersey, awarded to the winner of the race after the 21 stages, Team Visma | Lease a Bike rider Jonas Vingegaard has won the Tour in 2022 and 2023, who finished 2nd in 2024. Will he manage to take back the top spot in 2025? There are three grand tours every year, the others are; Giro d’Italia and La Vuelta.

The 2025 Tour de France takes place between Saturday 5 July 2025 – Sunday 27 July 2025. The route announcement took place on 29th October. You can see which stages of the Tour de France you can experience with Team Visma | Lease a Bike in the dropdown menu further down this page. Tickets for the available stages will be on sale soon. Hotel for two nights: Our hotels are well-located for stage access. Stay either two nights in the same hotel or one night near the start followed by one night near the finish (dependent on the stage).

Hosted ride: The Cycling Experience is an afternoon programme where cycling is done in groups under the guidance of a former professional cyclist in the vicinity of the Tour de France. Bike rental included.
Drive on the stage route: Drive on the race route in a TVL vehicle and be part of the support crew. TV Screens with live race coverage on board as well as drinks and snacks.
Meet the Team: Hosted by the team you will be part of the team’s bid to win the Yellow Jersey. Visit the team bus before the stage, drive in a TVL branded vehicle on the stage route hosted by the team, assist at team feed stops and much more!

Travel to the hotel
Please make your own arrangements to arrive at our hotel today. Our team will be available to meet you at the hotel. If you plan to fly then we offer airport transfers for you and your luggage, from the advertised airport. The journey to our first hotel depends on the hotel location and can be found in the detailed itinerary available with each stage.

Our hotel
We are staying at a conveniently located hotel that is close to the start of tomorrow’s stage. Your stay will be for 2 nights and will be on a half-board basis, with breakfast and evening meals included. Depending on your chosen stage you will either stay in the same hotel for both nights or you may stay in a different hotel after the stage. In this case we will transport your luggage with you during tomorrow’s VIP experience.
Lunch
On arrival at the hotel, you will have time to check in, freshen up and enjoy a light lunch with us.
Cycling Experience
The Cycling Experience is an afternoon programme where cycling is done in groups under the guidance of a former professional in the vicinity of the Tour de France. Ride on a former team bike and discover what professional level cycling feels like*.
Given the location, experience on a racing bike and cycling in hilly environments is necessary. Participants are requested to make a good assessment of their participation and to contact us if they have any questions – hello@sportivebreaks.com
Conditions:
- Participation is at your own risk
- Participant is in good condition to participate in the Cycling Experience
- Participant has cycling experience
- Wearing a helmet is mandatory
- Participant ensures correct cycling clothing, cycling shoes, and gloves

For those who do not wish to participate in the Cycling Experience, you have free time while this takes place.
This afternoon and early evening, our tour host is available for you at the hotel. During the evening meal we will provide a briefing on your exciting experience ahead.

After breakfast at the hotel your Tour de France race day experience starts. You will spend the day as a guest of the team in an official TVL minibus equipped with route map and interior TV screens so we can watch the race live during the day.
On our way to the stage start we will visit the hotel where the team are staying. Here one of the team directors will give you the inside track on the team’s race tactics for the day. After this we make our way to the start location where we will visit the team bus and meet the riders as they prepare for the day ahead. There may even be time for a stroopwafel and a coffee. We will then visit the Start Village and the team paddock before setting off for the day.
You will spend the day with us in an official black and yellow TVL minibus equipped with food, drinks and interior TV screens so we can watch the stage live during the day*. You will drive on the course of the stage on closed roads and be a proper part of the support team. You will experience the race at various locations.
During the day we will be handing out musettes, wheels and water bottles during the race. We will also stop for a lunch break.
We head to the finish area to catch the finale of the race**. Hopefully we can join in with the team celebrations. After the race comes to a close we will head to our hotel and finish with an evening meal together.

Team Visma | Lease a Bike ‘in the Heart of the Race’ VIP experiences
Ahead of Race Day we will communicate the day’s itinerary and the start and finish locations.
The day begins with our Team Visma | Lease a Bike host who will meet you to begin your race day experience. You host will be an ex-pro rider who will offer professional insights into the race. The first stop is a visit to the team hotel where one of the team Directors will share the team’s race strategy with you for the day.
After visiting the team hotel, we set off for the start area where you will visit the Team Bus to see how a World Tour Cycling Team prepare for a race day. From there you visit the start village for the team presentations and rider sign on. Now it’s time for the race to get underway.
You will be in an official Team Visma | Lease a Bike vehicle with full race accreditation for access to the race course. The vehicle is equipped with a map of the official race route and live TV coverage. During the day you will stop at multiple points on the roadside and have a chance to hand out bottles to the riders as they come past. During the day we will stop for lunch along with having snacks and drinks available throughout the day.
We aim to arrive at the finish in time to see it live but we can’t guarantee this as it depends on how the race plays out on the day. Once the race and podium ceremonies are over the full race day experience with Team Visma | Lease a Bike draws to a close. Your host will take you to the end point.
