184 km, Hilly. Rolling terrain through Castilla-La Mancha, favouring breakaways. The second week kicks off with rugged terrain through Castilla-La Mancha. It’s not a monster mountain stage, but the finale into Elche de la Sierra is lumpy enough to tempt a breakaway and punish anyone still shaking off the rest day. GC riders will stay alert—classic Vuelta territory where gaps appear if you blink.

156 km, Flat. Sprinters’ day along the Murcia coast, likely a fast finish. A coastal start, inland finish, and plenty of rolling roads. Heat and crosswinds could turn this into a nervous, tactical day. Sprinters will fight for control, but a strong breakaway might just steal the show if the peloton relaxes.

167 km, Mountain Stage. Summit finish at Calar Alto Observatory under scorching heat—climbers’ paradise. Now the real climbing resumes. Calar Alto is a long, exposed ascent to the observatory—beautiful, brutal, and usually decisive. Expect GC fireworks and big-time gaps as the race heads deeper into Andalusia.

193 km, Medium Mountain. Andalusian hills, tactical stage for breakaways. Punchy and unpredictable. The terrain suits classics-style riders and strong breakaway specialists. GC contenders will likely keep their powder dry, but watch for late moves if the wind or chaos opens the door.
- £1499 for single occupancy
- Two nights in Granada*

153 km, Mountain. Steep Pandera climb under intense heat—GC riders will attack. La Pandera is a savage climb—irregular gradients and heat make it a sufferfest. If the GC is tight, this is a launchpad for bold attacks. If not, expect a controlled burn and a select group sprinting for seconds at the top.

181 km, Medium Mountain. Rolling terrain, breakaway friendly. A sprinter’s last real shot before the TT and mountains. Fast finish, but late hills and possible crosswinds could spoil the party. A nervous day for GC riders who just want to stay upright.
- Two nights in Posadas on Half Board basis– halfway between Palma del Río and Córdoba*
- Saturday 5 September – Arrive
- Sunday 6 September – Race Day
- Monday 7 September – Depart
- Recommended airports are Seville or Malaga

Stage 19 of the 2026 Vuelta is a big one: a 205 km ride from Vélez‑Málaga to Peñas Blancas in Estepona, finishing on a tough Category 1 climb. It comes right after the time trial and just before the queen stage, so expect fireworks—GC riders will either defend or attack hard here. The route is hilly, with mid-stage climbs and a brutal uphill finish, perfect for breakaways or late moves. Heat in Andalusia could add extra drama. In short: a tactical, high-stakes day that could reshape the race before the Sierra Nevada showdown.
- £1699 for single room
- Two nights in Malaga on Half Board basis*
- Thursday 10 September – Arrive
- Friday 11 September – Race Day

Not a parade—technical uphill finish near the Alhambra. The final stage of the 2026 Tour of Spain is not in Madrid but in Granada. This will not be a sprint stage as the stage has a technical uphill finish near the famous Alhambra. A finishing circuit is completed 5 times, and each features a partially cobbled climb. This looks like a fitting tribute to a Vuelta built on surprise climbs, circuit finales, and raw Andalusian flair.
- £1699 pp for single room
- Two night’s stay in Granada on Half Board basis*
- Single rooms available at £1699 per person
- Recommended airport: Granada or Malaga
