2026 Etape du Tour de France Femmes
The 2026 Etape du Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift will take place on Thursday 6th August, departing from Vaison-la-Romaine in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region of France, with a finish on the famous Mont Ventoux. The route will cover 120KM with 3000m of elevation. The route includes the final 70 kilometres of the professional cyclists’ route, culminating in the legendary climb up Mont Ventoux via Bédoin (15,7km at 8,8%).
2026 Women’s Tour de France Stage
The Queen Stage of the 2026 Tour de France. The stage starts in Voulte sur Rhone in the Ardeche just south of Valence. The stage finishes on Mont Ventoux after a brutal 15.6-kilometre climb with an average gradient of 8.8%. It will be the first time the Giant of the Provence features in the women’s Tour. The stage has a total of 3,500 metres of climbing.

Itinerary
Day To Day
We offer airport transfers from Marseille airport which will be available to book as part of our packages at an additional cost of £150 return or £100 one way.
Group airport transfers
Today we offer group airport transfers from Marseille airport and private transfers on request. When you make your booking, you can include the group transfer in your package. Please book a flight that arrives at least 1 hour before your transfer time. Private transfers can be arranged at an additional cost – please contact: [email protected]
Transfers from Marseille airport will depart at the following times: 14:00 (for flights landing before 13:00).
Please allow at least 1 hour to clear passport control to make our advertised transfers. If your flight lands after the below time, private transfers are available on request.
What about my bike?
You can bring your own bike as you can store it safely at the hotel. You can also rent a bike with us for the weekend. Our mechanic will be available this afternoon and early evening at your hotel to assist you with fitting your rental bike or building your own bike after travel.
Evening meal is provided at the hotels in Vaison La Romaine this evening.
After breakfast and any necessary bike mechanical work, we will take you on a supported, guided ride which takes in part of the Etape route. We’ll be back at the hotel in the afternoon for you to rest and get prepared for tomorrow. You can also visit the Expo to collect your entry pack.
This evening, our bike guides will do a race briefing to talk you through the Etape Femmes day logistics and the route.

Start Location
Our hotel is located in Vaison-la-Romaine so it will just be a short roll on your bike to the start of the Etape today.
The 2026 Etape du Tour Femmes avec Zwift
Now is the time you have been training for! You can enjoy the ride and the rewarding challenges that it will bring as you make your way towards the finish line at the summit of Mont Ventoux.
With Sportive Breaks you can make the most of a private feed station on the route, where you can take on board nutrition and real food options.
The Etape du Tour Femmes has various cut-off points. You need to have passed each cut-off point at a certain time, otherwise you will be eliminated from the race. If you’re eliminated, your bike will go on a bike trailer to the finish, and you will be taken to the finish by bus.
After you finish
You will be able to cycle back down to our hub at the base of the Ventoux where we offer a return transfer shuttle from the finish back to the hotel. You may have to wait a for others in your group to finish before we head back to the Hotel but there will be a place to sit and refreshments while you wait and discuss the days events with the rest of the group.

Today the pro riders will take on Mont Ventoux, we will offer a guided ride to a viewing point on the mountain to soak up the incredible atmosphere and see the riders fight for Ventoux glory. Or choose a VIP experience.
Team Visma | Lease a Bike Experience
Your host will be an ex-pro rider who will offer professional insights into the race. We will collect you from your hotel and we set off for the start area where you will visit the Team Bus to see how a World Tour Cycling Team prepare for a race day. From there you visit the start village for the team presentations and rider sign on. Now it’s time for the race to get underway. You will be in an official Team Visma | Lease a Bike vehicle with full race accreditation for access to the race course. The vehicle is equipped with a map of the official race route and live TV coverage. During the day you will stop at multiple points on the roadside and have a chance to cheer on the riders as they come past. During the day we will stop for lunch along with having snacks and drinks available throughout the day. You will drive up Mont Ventoux past the crowds before watching the finish. Once the race and podium ceremonies are over the full race day experience with Team Visma | Lease a Bike draws to a close. Your host will take you back to the hotel.

The L’Etape du Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift – 2026 Edition will take place 24 hours before stage 7 of the pro race. The route is a modified version of Stage 7, including the iconic ascent of Mont Ventoux from Bedoin, road closures will guarantee a race like environment for amateurs.

Situated in the center of Vaison-la-Romaine in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region, 39 km from Avignon, Hotel Burrhus boasts views of the city. Guests can enjoy breakfast and drinks on the terrace. Mathieu Michollet
About Mathieu
Mathieu is an endurance cyclist and has always lived in the French Alps so knows all the mountain passes here like the back of his hand. He regularly organises and takes part in endurance trips alone and with friends including the Seven Majors this summer.
Combining his passion for cycling with his professional career he took his CQP and enjoyed working for several years as pro tour team mechanic working for the French team AG2R.
Meticulous and conscientious, Mathieu will go out of his way to ensure that your bike is roadworthy to help you take on the best cycling routes that France has to offer.
Sarah Wilson
About Sarah
Sarah moved to France from the UK in 1999 after finishing university, she was planning on only staying a few years, however, she fell in love with the French Alps and has made it her home. She has worked in both tourism and the cycle industry over this time in operations and marketing. She currently works in market research when not working for Sportive Breaks.
A keen skier, she also enjoys trail running and the occasional 10km or half marathon, hiking with friends , cycle touring family holidays and even taking on some of the nearby mountain passes on her road bike, including the mythical Alpe d’Huez.
Mike Wilson
About Mike
In the French Alps, you will be looked after by Mike and our local team of bike guides, drivers and mechanics.
Mike has a real passion for Alpine climbs and knows all the major mountain passes in the area having ridden them all many times.
Mike, first moved to France to race for a team in Brittany before settling in the Alps to satisfy his thirst for the high mountains.
He has been racing for over 25 years and recently qualified as a bike guide. Having competed in almost all the big name sportive and Gran Fondo events in the Alps including the Etape du Tour, Marmotte and the Time Megève, Mike still likes to push the limits and has had some respectable results in the Etape du Tour and even some recent podium finishes in local races. Mike is a fully qualified French bike guide and mechanic and has spent the last 20 years honing his skills and experience he is ready to share them with you during your Alpine cycling adventure.
His passion for the Tour De France is legendary and his knowledge of the race and its champions goes back to the 1980’s so he can offer great insights and anecdotes about this iconic race.
Mike’s team of mechanics includes former Pro Tour Team mechanics so you can be sure you will be in good, safe hands!
