We are staying at a 3-star hotel in the heart of Chambery. Guided warm up rides, a mechanic service and private feed stations on the route are all included. Additional services are airport transfers from Geneva airport and a bike rental service.
The 2025 Etape du Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift will take place on Saturday 2 August 2025 departing from Chambery in the Savoie region of France with a finish on the Col de la Madeleine near St Francois Longchamp. The stage of the 2025 Tour de France Femmes that has been chosen is Stage 8 which takes place on the same day!
The day before on Friday 1 August, the women’s peloton will set off from Bourg-en-Bresse to finish their race in Chambéry. To make the most of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift experience, we spend several days in the region.

Day To Day
We offer airport transfers from Geneva Airport today which will be available to book alongside our packages at additional cost of £120 return.
What about my bike?
You can bring your own bike as you can store it safely at the hotel. You can also rent a bike with us for the weekend. Our mechanic will be available this afternoon and early evening at your hotel to assist you with fitting your rental bike or building your own bike after travel.
As the Hotel Kyriad is located in the heart of Chambery you will have a wide range of restaurants you could chose to eat out in this evening.
Group airport transfers
Today we offer regular group airport transfers from Geneva Airport (1hr approx.) and private transfers on request When you make your booking, you can include the Geneva Airport group transfer in your package. Please book a flight that arrives at least 1 hour before your transfer time.

Geneva Airport
Transfers from Geneva will depart at the following times Please allow at least 1 hour to clear passport control to make our advertised transfers. If your flight lands after 17:00, private transfers are available on request.
- 11:00am (for flights landing before 10:00am)
- 14:00pm (for flights landing before 13:00pm)
After breakfast and any necessary bike mechanical work, we will take you on a supported, guided ride which culminates with watching the finish of today’s stage of the Tour de France Femmes which finishes in nearby Chambery today.
We’ll be back at the hotel in the afternoon for you to rest and get prepared for tomorrow. You can visit the Expo to collect your entry pack.
This evening, our bike guides will do a race briefing, to talk you through the Etape Femmes day logistics and the route.
Tonight you can eat out in one of Chambery’s many restaurants.
We have an early start this morning. Early breakfast is arranged in your hotel.

Our hotel is located in the heart of Chambery so it will just be a short roll on your bike to the start of the Etape today.
The 2025 Etape du Tour Femmes
Now is the time you have been training for! You can enjoy the ride and the rewarding challenges that it will bring with it as you make your way towards the finish line in St Francois Longchamp.
With Sportive Breaks you can make the most of a private feed station on the route where you can take on board nutrition and real food options.
The Etape du Tour Femmes has various cut-off points. You need to have passed each cut-off point at a certain time, otherwise you will be eliminated from the race. If you’re eliminated, your bike will go on a bike trailer to the finish, and you will be taken to the finish by bus.
After you finish
The riders of the 2025 Tour de France Femmes will finish just hours after the Etape Femmes. Included with your entry is a spectator experience in St Francois Long Champ. Details TBC.
We offer a return transfer shuttle from the finish back to the hotel.
After breakfast we offer our optional transfers back to Gevena Airport at set times listed below;
- 08:00am departure – for flights departing after 11:30pm
- 10:00am departure – for flights departing after 13:30pm

More About the Event
There are two route options available. You can choose a copy of the pro stage, with 112km and 3490m of climbing or a lighter but just as engaging, 100km with 2950m of climbing. Included with your entry is a unique spectator experience as you will witness the finish of the pro race from the front row in St Francois Longchamp.

Jean Christophe Bataillie
About Jean Christophe
Having loved skiing and cycling since childhood, Jean Christophe has always enjoyed maintaining his sports equipment.
After 10 years experience as a cycle technician, he took the cycle qualification CQP at the CNPC.
When not working for Sportive breaks he is an independent mechanic for his company VELO LABO, a service company where he enjoys passing on his passion and expertise.
He says “I love being able to pass on my knowledge to help you make better use of your equipment, and to help you progress by discovering how to look after your bike.”
Mathieu Michollet
About Mathieu
Mathieu is an endurance cyclist and has always lived in the French Alps so knows all the mountain passes here like the back of his hand. He regularly organises and takes part in endurance trips alone and with friends including the Seven Majors this summer.
Combining his passion for cycling with his professional career he took his CQP and enjoyed working for several years as pro tour team mechanic working for the French team AG2R.
Meticulous and conscientious, Mathieu will go out of his way to ensure that your bike is roadworthy to help you take on the best cycling routes that France has to offer.
Sarah Wilson
About Sarah
Sarah moved to France from the UK in 1999 after finishing university, she was planning on only staying a few years, however, she fell in love with the French Alps and has made it her home. She has worked in both tourism and the cycle industry over this time in operations and marketing. She currently works in market research when not working for Sportive Breaks.
A keen skier, she also enjoys trail running and the occasional 10km or half marathon, hiking with friends , cycle touring family holidays and even taking on some of the nearby mountain passes on her road bike, including the mythical Alpe d’Huez.
Mike Wilson
About Mike
In the French Alps, you will be looked after by Mike and our local team of bike guides, drivers and mechanics.
Mike has a real passion for Alpine climbs and knows all the major mountain passes in the area having ridden them all many times.
Mike, first moved to France to race for a team in Brittany before settling in the Alps to satisfy his thirst for the high mountains.
He has been racing for over 25 years and recently qualified as a bike guide. Having competed in almost all the big name sportive and Gran Fondo events in the Alps including the Etape du Tour, Marmotte and the Time Megève, Mike still likes to push the limits and has had some respectable results in the Etape du Tour and even some recent podium finishes in local races. Mike is a fully qualified French bike guide and mechanic and has spent the last 20 years honing his skills and experience he is ready to share them with you during your Alpine cycling adventure.
His passion for the Tour De France is legendary and his knowledge of the race and its champions goes back to the 1980’s so he can offer great insights and anecdotes about this iconic race.
Mike’s team of mechanics includes former Pro Tour Team mechanics so you can be sure you will be in good, safe hands!
