Choose the Route

Ride Distance: 138

Elevation gain: 4230

After a local start near Corvara, you will enjoy a magical circuit of the Sella Ronda. This route brings you back to familiar Corvara before leading onwards to the challenging Giau. This climb spans 10km at more than 9%. Following this, you can easily tackle the Falzarego before an enjoyable descent back into town.

Ride Distance: 106

Elevation gain: 3130

This follows the same road as the long route until you meet the Giau, where you can choose to continue or split off onto the medium course. This will be a steeper ride to the Falzarego. The climb itself is just shy of 12km and is more forgiving than the long route at just below 7%. You will want to preserve some energy for the last push up the Giat, with a cruel 19% gradient.

Ride Distance: 55

Elevation gain: 1780

If you are simply looking for a breathtaking ride, then we can’t recommend this route enough. The Sella Ronda delivers four fabulous climbs over mostly steady gradients - making this route an enjoyable option. This course is suited to most ability-levels, although there is more climbing than you would usually find at a UK sportive.

Going into an area you won't ride on the Maratona. The Fedaia is a classic Dolomites climb. We start taking in two climbs of the Sella Ronda, then descent into Canazei before climbing and descending the Fedaia before returning over the Campolongo.

Friday: Passo Giau Loop.
Distance: 89km, Elevation: 2950m

One of the classic loops in world cycling and the start of the Maratona. This short loop takes in four climbs - Campalongo, Pordio, Sella & Gardena, all with some incredible scenery. The gradients are all gentle (5 to 7%) so a nice warm up ride to do some easy spinning.
