Dwars door Vlaanderen starts in Roeselare near Kortrijk and finishes after about 190km in Waregem. The race starts at 12:15 in Roeselare and the finish will be around 16.30.

The Flemish Cycling Week consists of a series of classics cycling races that take place each year in the same order in Flanders in Spring. All races revolve around the date of the main event: the Tour of Flanders.

Flemish Cycling Week includes the below events:

• E3 Saxo Classic is on the Friday the week before the Tour of Flanders
• Gent-Wevelgem takes place on Sunday the week before the Tour of Flanders
• Dwars door Vlaanderen takes place the Wednesday before the Tour of Flanders
• Tour of Flanders is always on the 14th Sunday of the year

2024 Dwars door Vlaanderen 

The 2024 event took place on its usual route between Roeselare and Waregem. It was a bitter sweet day for Team Visma | Lease a Bike as Matteo Jorgenson won Dwars but Wout van Aert crashed and his injuries knocked him out of the rest of the Classics with a broken collarbone. Wout will be even more motivated to win the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix in 2025!

After booking you will be contacted by Sportive Breaks with the details of the meeting point for the day. This is most likely the official Team Hotel (exceptions to this may apply and this cannot be guaranteed). This will be the collection point and can also be the drop off point at the end of the day (can be discussed based on your needs).

You will be met by your host and driver for the day who is a former Professional Cyclist who speaks English. You will spend the day as a guest of the team in an official TVL minibus equipped with route map and interior TV screens so we can watch the race live during the day.

On our way to the stage start we will visit the hotel where the team are staying. Here one of the team directors will give you the inside track on the team’s race tactics for the day. After this we make our way to the start location where we will visit the team bus and meet the riders as they prepare for the day ahead. There may even be time for a stroopwafel and a coffee. We will then visit the Start Village and the team paddock before setting off for the day.

You will spend the day with us in an official black and yellow TVL minibus equipped with food, drinks and interior TV screens so we can watch the stage live during the day*. You will drive on the course of the stage on closed roads and be a proper part of the support team. You will experience the race at various locations.

During the day we will be handing out wheels and water bottles during the race. We will also stop for a lunch break.

We head to the finish area to catch the finale of the race**. Hopefully we can join in with the team celebrations. After the race comes to a close we take you back to the days meeting point.
