2026 We Ride Flanders and Tour of Flanders Weekend
with Sportive Breaks

  • Here at Sportive Breaks we are proud to be an official partner of the Tour of Flanders and We Ride Flanders (Tour of Flanders Sportive). We have years of experience of organising travel packages to the Tour of Flanders and we’re looking forward to welcoming amateur cyclists again in Belgium. The Tour of Flanders Sportive will take place on Saturday 4 April and the professionals will race on Sunday 5 April 2026. After Brugge in 2025, Antwerp will host the start of the Tour of Flanders in 2026, while Bruges will host the start again in 2027.

We offer you the option of staying in Kortrijk or in Oudenaarde. Oudenaarde is the location of the start and finish of We Ride Flanders (Tour of Flanders Sportive) on Saturday 4 April and also of course the finish location of the 2026 Tour of Flanders on Sunday 5 April. Kortrijk is within easy reach of both the Sportive on the Saturday and to watch the Pros on the Sunday.

2026 We Ride Flanders

We Ride Flanders | Tour of Flanders Sportive is one Sportive that every amateur cyclist needs to tick off their bucket list. This is your opportunity to ride some of the classic cobbled climbs from the Tour of Flanders including the Koppenberg and Oude Kwaremont. Taking place on the Saturday before the Tour of Flanders, you ride the Sportive before watching the professionals the next day. Sportive Breaks offer a choice of hotels. You can either stay in Kortrijk or in Oudenaarde (4n stay).

Oudenaarde is the location of the start and finish of We Ride Flanders on Saturday and the finish of the men’s and women’s Tour of Flanders on Sunday. Hotel Leopold in Oudenaarde is available for 4 nights (Thu – Sun) on a B&B basis.

If you want to stay for a shorter duration then we offer a 3* and 4* hotel in Kortrijk. Tour of Flanders review

One of the highlights of the Sportive calendar, We Ride Flanders (the Tour of Flanders Sportive) takes place at the end of March. The day before the Tour of Flanders, amateur cyclists from around the world descend on Flanders and ride the Tour of Flanders on the same roads as the pros will the day after. The event is massive. About 16,000 cyclists from all over the world take on the Flemish ‘bergs’, and cobblestones.

Choice of distance

To make this event accessible to all levels of riders, participants can choose from 4 distances. The longest is a whopping 229km and starts in Antwerp. Riders can start from 7am (time to be confirmed).

The 3 other distances (158, 128 and 80 km) all start and finish in Oudenaarde. Starting times are staggered in such a way that riders are spread out as much as possible along the course. The routes of these 3 distances have remained the same as in previous years so everyone gets to ride the Koppenberg, Oude Kwaremont and the Paterberg.

An added measure to ensure riding pleasure for all is that security has been stepped up. Frame plates will be checked to prevent people taking part who are not officially registered. Also, at the foot of the Koppenberg, a large video screen displays the current situation on the climb. Those who find it too busy or prefer to avoid the difficult cobblestone climb can follow a small detour. In this way, each participant can complete his or her Tour of Flanders in the most comfortable and safe manner possible.

The Finish in Oudenaarde

The finish area in Oudenaarde has undergone a major facelift and has been transformed into a real We Ride Flanders café. Participants and supporters can go to one of the various food and drink stands in a fully decorated cycling café and immerse themselves in the atmosphere and history of the Ronde. For example, you can go there for a mini exhibition of the Tour of Flanders Centre, admire bicycles and jerseys of former winners, and relive the previous editions of the Tour of Flanders on one of the big screens. It is the place to linger, recover and chat after the cycling experience.
