Stelvio Weekender Cycling Holiday
This is one of the great cycling weekends for climbers. Over 5 days you climb the Stelvio (from both sides), the Gavia & Mortirolo as well as some great local routes that many people find to be their best climb of the trip. Each of the three main riding days are tough with two or three climbs per day and over 3,000m of elevation, but the payoff is riding in a varied and stunning part of the world and ticking off some proper bucket list climbs. Bormio is the perfect town to relax after a ride with some nice ice cream shops, markets and hot springs. Bring strong legs and a big rear cassette for the ultimate Stelvio cycling holiday!
Via Battaglione Morbegno, 21, 23032 Bormio
Our base in Bormio is the brilliant, family run Hotel Nevada. Set a 2 minute walk from town, there is a great terrace for enjoying a post ride beer. The spa is ideal to relax after a tough ride and the chef makes superb local dishes including the famous pizzoccheri. With friendly staff, secure bike storage and two lovely mountain dogs, this is our top hotel in Bormio and a great setting for an epic cycling weekend.
Airport collections are from Milan Linate (LIN) and the drive to Bormio takes just over three hours. Due to the long transfer, private transfers are expensive. Contact us for options if you are flying to Milan Malpensa (MXP)
