Haute Route Alps is a tough but rewarding 7 – day sportive, that will give you a taste of the life of a professional cyclist in a stage race. The route takes you to some of the toughest and most iconic climbs in the Alps. The event consists of 6 multi-mountain stages & an uphill time trial. Haute Route support is unparalleled and and the entry includes many services. You will live and compete like a Pro cyclist for a week.
One of the toughest weeks in amateur cycling, the Haute Route Alps is the flagship event of the Haute Route Cycling Series. This is a week of cycling bucket list climbs made famous by the Tour de France and the Giro d’Italia. Much of it is spent at altitude with several cols over 2,000 meters/6,500ft above sea level.
The 2024 Haute Route dates were Sunday, August 25 to Saturday, August 31, 2024. Our 8-night package started on Saturday, August 24 and finished on Sunday, September 1.
The 2024 Haute Route Alps will start in Megeve and finish in Nice. The route will cover 443miles/714km and 63664 ft/19,405M of elevation over the 7 days. You will take on some of the world famous cycling climbs such as the mighty Alpe d’Huez, Col de la Loze, Col de la Bonnette and Col du Glandon to name a few. Stage 4 will be the time trial from Bourg d’Oisans to Alpe d’Huez.

Tuesday, August 27– Stage 3 – Courchevel – L’Alpe d’Huez
Cols: Col de la Madeleine (1 630m), Col du Glandon (1 924m), L’ Alpe d’Huez (1 815m)
Wednesday, August 28- Stage 4: Bourg d’Oisans – Alpe d’Huez
Climb: L’ Alpe d’Huez (1 815m)
Thursday, August 29 – Stage 5 – L’ Alpe d’Huez – Col du Granon

Friday, August 30– Stage 6 – Briançon – Auron
Cols: Col de Vars (2 108m), Col de la Bonnette (2 715m), Climb to Auron (1 570m)
Saturday, August 31 – Stage 7: Auron – Nice
Cols: Col de St Matin (1 503m)
Our 2024 Haute Route package is limited to 15 riders. We offer a non-rider discount of $1919 to non-riders and to those riders who already have their own 2024 Haute Route entry.

Please make your own arrangements to arrive at our hotel in Megeve today. Our team will be available to meet you at the hotel. If you plan to fly then we offer a airport transfer for you, your luggage and your bike from Geneva Airport at 12:00.
Our hotel
We are staying at the hotel TBC. Your stay will be for 1 night on a bed and breakfast basis so with breakfasts included. You will have an early breakfast on the day of stage 1. You can keep your bike in your room with you.
What about my bike?
You can bring your own bike as we have made arrangements to transport bike boxes on our airport transfers. Our mechanic will be available this afternoon at the hotel to assist you with building your bike after travel.
This afternoon and early evening, our tour leaders and bike mechanics are available for you. The evening is free for you to eat out in one of Megeve’s many restaurants.

This evening you can collect your bike box and our mechanic is available to assist you with re-packing your bike into the box so you’re ready for travel tomorrow.

After breakfast we offer our a optional transfer back to Nice airport. We advise you not to book any flights before 10:00 as it will be a mega early start. Our airport transfer will leave Nice at 09:30 in time for flights that depart Geneva after 12:00.
The Haute Route series looks to create the experience and challenge of riding a multi-day stage race, with events focused around the toughest and most iconic climbs in Europe. The Haute Route Alps changes route each year and starts/ finishes in Megeve or Nice.
