Our tour starts with a group transfer from Milan Malpensa (MXP) Airport. Our head guide, Giro d’Italia stage winner Andrea Ferrigato, and the Sportive Breaks team, will be at the airport awaiting your arrival. Our transfer will then leave the airport at 12.00 noon, so please ensure that you arrive in plenty of time.
If you are travelling with your own bike, then we will transport your bike and bike box or bag for the duration of the tour. When we move to the next hotel, there’s no need to re-pack your bike. Alternatively, we also offer bike rental for the duration of the tour. Bikes can be stored at the hotel.
This afternoon and early evening, our tour leaders and bike mechanics are available to help you.
This afternoon our Head Guide Andrea will take you on an optional shake out ride around the beautiful town of Nove, just outside of Bassano del Grappa.
Later this evening we will gather for an evening welcome meal together at the hotel restaurant. After dinner you are free to relax in the hotel or explore the nearby sites.
Light afternoon ride to loosen the legs and get used to riding in Italy.
Welcome Evening Meal
Today’s stage finishes on Monte Berico, overlooking Vicenza.
Today we will go for a guided ride in the “Colli Berici” or Berici hills to the south of Vicenza. This scenic ride will be about 50 miles.
The end of this ride is one of the highlights of the tour, as we have permission to not only ride the final stages of the race ahead of the pros, but we will ride across the finish line before standing on the official race podium.
Then it’s time to recover in style, as we watch the race from the comfort of the VIP Hospitality area.
We will drive back to our hotel for our evening meal.

The Giro heads to Slovenia today, with a stage departing from nearby Treviso. We will drive to Treviso and soak up the pre-race atmosphere with VIP start area access, where we can watch the riders signing on and visit the team bus area.
Once the race is underway, we will return to our hotel, and then go for a ride in the local area. Monte Grappa will be teeming with fans tomorrow, so we will ride it today in a more relaxed atmosphere. This ride will be about 50 miles, with a tough 8,000ft of climbing.
We will return to our hotel in time for our evening meal.

Breakfast and Evening Meal
Today’s stage features some tough climbing n close proximity to our hotel, as the race tackles Monte Grappa andDori before finishing in Asiago.
Today’s guided ride will be around 50 miles and take in the Foza climb, which is around 9 miles with over 3,000ft of elevation gain at an average gradient of 6%. We will wait at the summit in Foza, around 10 miles from the finish of today’s stage, and watch the race from the roadside.
We will return to our hotel in Nove where we will have our final evening before moving to Trento tomorrow.

As the riders enjoy their rest day, we will move to our next hotel, in Trento.
There will be no rest day for us as we will be running a guided and supported ride from Nove to Trento, this ride is around 55 miles and will be directly to our hotel tonight which is in the centre of the historical city of Trento.Â
Once we have arrived you will have the chance to enjoy Trento for all it offers and explore.
Our hotel is booked on a bed and breakfast basis but is a short walk to the city centre where there are a range of different restaurants.

This year the Giro doesn’t visit the heart of the Dolomites, but we still want to give you the opportunity to ride these beautiful mountain climbs. We ride the Sella Ronda, a popular Dolomites circuit, parts of which regularly feature in the Giro. This ride will be around 35 miles.
Spectators can join us in the support vehicle today and enjoy the beautiful Dolomites scenery.
Alternatively, the Giro passes through Trento today, so guests are welcome to stay in Trento to watch the race, if you would prefer a well earnt day off the bike.
Tonight, we remain in Trento where you are welcome to enjoy the city and all it offers. Our hotel is booked on a bed and breakfast basis but is a short walk to the city centre where there are a range of different restaurants.
Sella Ronda, 35 miles with 5,000ft of climbing
Breakfast
Today the peloton will be riding from San Michele to Bormio, at the foot of the Stelvio.
We start today with a transfer to Aprica. We will then start our guided ride where we will ride the Mortirolo, the key climb of today’s stage. The roads will be lined with fans, to give you extra encouragement! You can take this iconic climb at your own pace, and we will regroup at the top and wait for the race to pass by.
After the race has passed by, we will drive to Desenzano del Garda where we will spend the night.
After our evening meal at the hotel, you are free to go out and see the beauty of Lake Garda or make use of the spa within the hotel (at an additional cost).
Ride the Mortirolo

Today is Stage 18 of the Giro d’Italia, from Morbegno to Cesano Maderno. As this is more of a transition stage, we will jump ahead of the race before its finale in the Italian Alps.
We will pass by Bergamo Airport en route to Turin, making a brief stop for anybody departing today. On our way to Turin, we will attempt to catch the Giro on the road as it heads north of Milan.
Tonight we will enjoy a meal at the hotel, and then you are free to explore Turin if you wish.
Rest Day!
Breakfast and Evening Meal
Today is Stage 19 of the Giro d’Italia, and the first of two decisive Alpine stages. The peloton will be riding from Biella to Champoluc, a ski resort in the Aosta Valley.
Our plan for today is to ride part of the Giro stage. We will take a transfer to the start of today’s guided ride and then watch the stage pass through Chatillon from the roadside. Today is a challenging day for the riders so will make for some great spectating.
Tonight, we return to Turin where we will have an evening meal together back at the hotel.
Alpine Ride

We are nearing closer to the end of the 2025 Giro d’Italia, today we will take a transfer to Pinerolo where we will ride around 60km finishing in Sestriere. Although this ride is almost constant climbing, the average is just 3% with some almost flat sections.
You will get the chance to enjoy the top-level experience at the finish area where you will be in the closest section to the finish line and podium. After you’ve enjoyed the hospitality, we will take a transfer back to Turin.
Tonight, we remain in Turin where we will have dinner back at the hotel.

Today is the final stage of the 2025 Giro d’Italia, with an expected sprint finish in Rome.
As we bid you farewell, we will offer an airport transfer to Milan Malpensa Airports where you are free to make your way home.
We offer a Rome extension for anyone looking to watch the final stage. Please note that due to the driving distance, this is not supported by staff. This extension includes the high-speed train to Rome today, VIP Finish Hospitality and a hotel for one night.

On departure we provide transport to Venice Marco Polo airport or to Venice high speed train station. Trains leave Venice’s Santa Lucia train station several times per hour for Rome Termini station.

The dates of the 2025 Giro d’Italia are Friday 9 May to Sunday 1 June 2025. This is a week later than in 2024. The Grande Partenza will be in Albania. The final stage will be in Rome. The 2025 Giro d’Italia route will be announced at a ceremony in Rome on 13th January 2025. Soon after this you will be able to book Giro d’Italia Cycling and Spectator tours with Sportive Breaks as well as hospitality tickets for every stage of the 2025 Giro d’Italia.

The 2024 Giro d’Italia will most likely be decided in the Dolomites. We expect a spectacular and eventful, final week. Stage 17 sees a double ascent of the Brocon Pass. After two easier days, the penultimate stage features a double ascent of Monte Grappa, before a downhill and finish in the valley. Monte Grappa is very difficult at 18.2km and 8.1%. The riders will climb and descend the way they came up before climbing again. Monte Grappa will be the deciding stage in the battle for the pink jersey.

Every day, in the start town, the Start Village offers a Hospitality Area at the start. Guests watch the riders get ready and witness the sign-on ceremony whilst enjoying drinks and snacks.
