2027 UCI Gravel World Championships in Chatel, Haute-Savoie, France
Sportive Breaks are the Gran Fondo experts so we will be providing hotel and support packages for riders from all nationalities for the 2027 UCI Gravel World Championships.
The event will be held in Chatel, Haute-Savoie, France, as part of the 2027 UCI Cycling World Championships, which run from 24 August to 5 September 2027. The 2027 UCI Cycling World Championships Haute-Savoie Mont-Blanc run from 24 August to 5 September 2027, and the Gravel World Championships in Châtel are scheduled for Thursday 26 August and Friday 27 August 2027.
The final race schedule and course details have not yet been published, but the gravel venue has been confirmed as Châtel. Competitors will attend according to the event(s) for which they have qualified.

Itinerary
Day To Day
Please make your way to our hotel today or make use of our optional airport transfer from Geneva Airport where our team will meet you. The transfer takes 1 hour from Geneva.
What about my bike?
We will transport bike boxes securely on our airport transfers. Our mechanic will be available this afternoon at the hotel to assist you with building your bike after travel. Bikes can be safely stored at the hotel.
Group airport transfers from Geneva Airport – £TBC return
Today we offer several group airport transfers. When you make your booking, you can add this group airport transfer. Please book a flight that arrives before this time.

Your stay will be for 3 or 4 nights and will be on a bed and breakfast basis (Half Board at selected hotels). You will have an early breakfast on race day if required.
After breakfast we offer a short ride in the area to keep the legs spinning and have a look at parts of the race route.
You will need to register for the race and that can be done today between 09:30 and 17:30 at (location TBC). A briefing will be held at 14:00 lasting an hour.
There will be a pre-race dinner available this evening.
Today is race day for selected age groups.
Based on exact locations there may be transport required this morning to get you to the start-line. Our team will be on hand this morning if you have any last-minute mechanical issues.
Podium times will be announced soon.
Transport will be available back from the finish to the hotels (if required).
Celebration meal at the hotel.
Today is the final race day for the Men’s Elite and selected age groups (TBC).
Based on exact locations there may be transport required this morning to get you to the start-line. Our team will be on hand this morning if you have any last-minute mechanical issues.

Celebration meal at the hotel plus assistance with bike packing for those who will be travelling tomorrow.
After breakfast, please check out of the hotel. Group transfers will be available back to Geneva airport.

2025 UCI Gravel World Championships
The 2025 UCI Gravel World Championships were held in Limburg, The Netherlands. Florian Vermeersch of Belgium claimed his first world title after two previous silver medals, winning solo after attacking with 19km to go. The Woman’s race was won by Lorena Wiebes of the Netherlands who won in a sprint finish, narrowly beating teammate and defending champion Marianne Vos.
2024 UCI Gravel World Championships
The 2024 UCI Gravel World Championships were the 3rd edition of this event and they took place in Belgium. Mathieu van der Poel and Marianne Vos were the winners.
2023 UCI Gravel World Championships
In 2023 the event was held in Italy. In the Women Elite category on Saturday, Kasia Niewiadoma took the rainbow jersey with an epic solo attack 20KM from the finish. In the Men’s Elite Race on Sunday 8 October, the big names from other cycling disciplines like Wout Van Aert, Matej Mohoric , Cameron Mason and Florian Vermeersch were all there to battle for the finish line. In the end, Slovenian rider Matej Mohoric took the win.
