Itinerary

2024 Day To Day itinerary

Bienvenue en France! Welcome to France!

Our hosts will collect you from Toulouse Blagnac (TLS) Airport at 10.300 AM and we will transport you to our hotel in Toulouse. We will stay here for two nights with breakfast included. Our hotel is in central Toulouse, so you have a large choice of restaurants within a short walk.

On arrival our hosts will assist you with building your bike after travel. We will arrange a short guided ride in the area this afternoon to ensure all bikes (and legs!) are in good working order.

This evening our team will hold a welcome meeting at the hotel and the evening is free to eat out in Toulouse.

After breakfast we will offer a guided ride in the Toulouse area. The race starts and finishes in Toulouse today, with the finish area within walking distance of our hotel. We will finish our ride in time to return to our hotel for a shower and change of clothes, before walking towards the race finish and watching the action live from the roadside.  This stage is expected to end in a bunch sprint, although two punchy climbs in the final ten miles could reduce the size of the peloton.

Non-riders are free to explore the city of Toulouse today.

This evening you are again free to eat at one of the many restaurants within walking distance of our hotel.

After breakfast we will leave Toulouse and drive towards the Pyrenees. We will move to our next hotel, where we will stay for three nights.

Our ride today will give us our first taste of the Pyrenees, and we will find a spot to watch today’s race which finishes with the climb up to Hautacam.

We will have our evening meal together at the hotel this evening.

We will have a leisurely breakfast this morning in our hotel.

We are located close to on of the most famous climbs in the world, the Col du Tourmalet. While the race tomorrow climbs the Tourmalet from the Western side, we will instead drive to Bagneres-de-Bigorre and tackle the climb from the more iconic Eastern side. We can expect plenty of encouragement from fans who will already be camped out by the roadside!

This evening we will have our evening meal together in the hotel.

Today the race will pass by close to our hotel before going over the Tourmalet to Luchon.

We will ride the Port de Bales from Bagneres de Bigorre with Bagneres de Luchon as our destination to watch the race today.

We will then drive back to our hotel for our evening meal.

After breakfast this morning we will travel to Provence. We will stay in the pretty town of Vaison La Romaine for the next three nights. On arrival we will have time for a guided ride in the area.

Evening meal at the hotel.

After breakfast we will tick off another bucket list climb, Mont Ventoux. All rides will be supported by our bike guides on the road plus we will also provide mechanical support and regular food, and drink stops from our support vehicle.

For any non-cyclists in the group, there is a lovely winery in Vaison La Romaine where we will enjoy a tour before having some lunch and enjoy some wine tasting.

This evening, we will have our evening meal together at the hotel.

It’s a big day today as the riders race from Montpellier to Mont Ventoux.

We will ride together from our hotel and watch the race live from the roadside. Spectators can join us on the tour vehicle, and we will endeavour to get as close to the action as possible. We will aim to drive towards the foot of Mont Ventoux and walk to a good vantage point to watch the stage.

We will return to the hotel this evening for our evening meal.

We will check out of the hotel and make the journey to the next stop on our tour. No need to pack away your bikes as they will be transported fully assembled.

On the way to the Alps today we will stop in Bollene to see the start of today’s stage.

On arrival in Brides Les Bains, you can enjoy the hotel pool or have a walk around the town.

We will enjoy our evening meal together at the hotel.

Today we will witness the first of two epic mountain stages that should decide who will arrive victoriously in Paris on Sunday.

After breakfast, we will go for a ride that will finish partway up the Col de la Loze. This purpose built cycle route is closed to vehicles, so the ride today will be unsupported.

Spectators can watch the stage as it comes through Brides Les Bains today.

After a long descent from the Cormet de Roselend the riders hit the valley before commencing the climb to La Plagne. Our guided ride leads us from the hotel up to the final climb to La Plagne where we will watch the race from the roadside.

Spectators will see the action in Aime La Plagne at the foot of the final climb.

As the race and the caravan departs the Alps,  we will stay an additional day to enjoy the mountains. We will offer a guided ride in the area plus the opportunity to spend another day in this beautiful part of the world.

Our guided ride takes us further up the Tarentaise Valley to Bourg Saint Maurice and the Col du Petit Saint Bernard. The summit lies on the Franco-Italian border. We will drop into the Aoste valley and break for lunch before returning the way we came.

Final evening meal in Brides Les Bains.

After breakfast it’s the end of our tour. There is an optional transfer back to Geneva airport this morning, departing at 9.00 AM. We expect to arrive at Geneva Airport no earlier than 11.30 AM, so please book a flight that departs after 1.30 PM.

Paris Extension – email us to check availability and prices

For those who would like the opportunity to experience the final stage of the 2025 race in Paris, we offer a Paris extension. Please note that we will not have staff in Paris, but we will provide you with instructions for when you arrive.

We will drive you to nearby Chambery early this morning, where you will take the high-speed TGV train to Paris. It takes just 3 hours to reach Paris Gare de Lyon, then you can check in to the nearby hotel Mercure Bibliotheque. After checking into the hotel there is plenty of time to get ready and make your own way over to the Champs Elysees.
