Paris-Nice is traditionally known as the “Race to the Sun” due to its start in Paris, where the weather is typically cold. As the riders make their way south finishing in the Cote d’Azur, the spring sunshine emerges and basks the riders in a glow as they hurtle towards the finish line. Some riders use this race as preparation for the Tour de France; 12 riders so far have won Paris-Nice before going on to win the Yellow Jersey at the Tour de France, including Geraint Thomas and Tadej Pogacar. The final stage takes place in Nice on Sunday 16 April and hospitality on the famous Promenade des Anglais is available now with Sportive Breaks.
