Join Sportive Breaks for the first of the 5 Monuments of the year. In this weekend you can watch Milan Sanremo on Saturday and ride Gran Fondo Sanremo-Sanremo on Sunday. Stay in Sanremo with Sportive Breaks or add one night in Milan if you wish to enjoy hospitality at the start or if you want to spend a full day on Milan Sanremo as a special guest of Team Visma | Lease a Bike.

For 2026 Milan Sanremo e offer two weekends in one. You can either cycle on back-to-back days or watch Milan Sanremo with a choice of VIP race day experiences that you can select and add to your weekend in our booking system.

Cross the Finish Experience: On Saturday we’ll ride around 50km to finish in Sanremo with our local guide, ex-pro cyclist and former Giro d’Italia stage winner Andrea Ferrigato. Cross the finish like MVDP, stand on the Podium, have your photo taken and relax with finish hospitality.
Team Visma | Lease a Bike Experience Available on Milan Sanremo: Spend the day on the race route with one of the best cycling teams in the world. Race insights from the DS, visit to the team hotel and the start, full day on the course in a branded TVL vehicle with TV and race radio on board. Hosted by former pro rider. Lunch and all transport included.
Gran Fondo Sanremo – Sanremo: On Sunday take part in the Gran Fondo Sanremo-Sanremo. Ride some of the nicest parts of the Ligurian Riviera and conquer Milan-Sanremo climbs Poggio and Cipressa.
Mechanic at the Hotel: On Friday, Saturday & Sunday morning our expert mechanics are on hand to make sure your bike is in perfect condition, or rent one of our bikes.
4* hotel in Sanremo: Conveniently located with breakfasts, dinners and bike storage included. One night in Milan and/or one night at Nice airport also available.
Airport transfers from Nice: Available at £100, book airport transfers from Nice Airport.

Itinerary
Day To Day
Please meet us at our hotel in Sanremo today where our team will meet you. If you plan to fly then we offer airport transfers for you, your luggage and your bike from Nice Airport. These can be booked as an extra in the booking process at £100pp. More information here. The journey to Sanremo takes about 1 hour. Our mechanic is available this afternoon to fit rental bikes and to assist you with building your own bike after travel. Bikes can be stored at the hotel. Our evening meal is at the hotel.
Alternatively arrive in Milan ahead of your Milan Sanremo experience as a guest of Team Visma | Lease a Bike tomorrow or if you would like to stay the night ahead of attending the Start Village in Pavia tomorrow.
Team Visma | Lease a Bike Experience
The day begins with our Team Visma | Lease a Bike host who will meet you to begin your race day experience. Collection point is our hotel in Milan. Your host will be an ex-pro rider who will offer professional insights into the race. The first stop is a visit to the team hotel where one of the team Directors will share the team’s race strategy with you for the day. After visiting the team hotel, we set off for the start area where you will visit the Team Bus to see how a World Tour Cycling Team prepare for a race day. From there you visit the start village for the team presentations and rider sign on. Now it’s time for the race to get underway.
You will be in an official Team Visma | Lease a Bike vehicle with full race accreditation for access to the race course. The vehicle is equipped with a map of the official race route and live TV coverage. During the day you will stop at multiple points on the roadside and have a chance to hand out bottles to the riders as they come past. During the day we will stop for lunch along with having snacks and drinks available throughout the day.
We aim to arrive at the finish in time to see it live but we can’t guarantee this as it depends on how the race plays out on the day. Once the race and podium ceremonies are over the full race day experience with Team Visma | Lease a Bike draws to a close. You can opt to depart or to add a night in Sanremo or in Nice close to the airport (transport to Nice is included).

Cross the Finish and Podium experience and Finish Hospitality in Sanremo
After breakfast and preparing the bikes, we will take you on a supported, guided ride that takes in the route of the Milan Sanremo including the final 25km of the pro-race route. You will ride across the finish-line in Sanremo before the finish of the pros just hours later. After taking photos on the winner’s podium you will have access to Milan-Sanremo Finish Hospitality. You will have an afternoon of watching the pro-riders in action.
We will then head back to the hotel for you to rest and get prepared for tomorrow if you would like to take part in the Gran Fondo. Dinner is at the hotel.

Gran Fondo Sanremo – Sanremo
The ‘Classicissima’ Sanremo – Sanremo (not to be confused with the Gran Fondo Milan Sanremo in June – Gran Fondo Milan Sanremo – Sportive Breaks) is the right Gran Fondo to trace the paths of the great champions of yesteryear and today. This 100km Gran Fondo winds through the roads of the most beautiful locations in the province of Imperia. The starting point for the Granfondo route in Sanremo is on Lungomare Salvo d’Acquisto, just steps from the sea.
The ascent of the Cipressa guards a well-preserved historic centre of the village of San Lorenzo al Mare. The backdrop to the village is the olive groves from which the precious extra virgin olive oil is derived.
The legend of the Classicissima: the Poggio di Sanremo
The famous climb of the Poggio comes at the end of the Gran Fondo just before the finish in Sanremo. After this journey through some of the most picturesque corners of the western Ligurian region, a toast with a glass of fresh Vermentino and a piece of warm Sardenaira, Sanremo’s most famous specialty, is a must.
We’ll assist with packing bikes after the race. Dinner is at the hotel.

After breakfast either make your own onward plans or take advantage of our optional transfer back to Nice Airport (available at extra cost).
We will depart Sanremo at 09:00am. Our airport transfer arrives in Nice at 10:30am in line with flights that depart after 12:30pm.

As expected Tadej Pogačar attacked on the Cipressa but Mathieu Van der Poel and Filippo Ganna were right there on his wheel and MVDP outsprinted his two rivals. For the drama, for the names, for the way it all unfolded, this was a Milano–Sanremo for the ages, one we’ll be talking about for decades, simply, one of the best ever. Sanremo Women was also back on the calendar after two long decades. European Champion Lorena Wiebes was perfectly led out by World Champion Lotte Kopecky and she out-sprinted Marianne Vos.
The Milan-Sanremo is the longest race on the cycling calendar and is rightly considered as one of the most important races of the year.
